without making the ocean feel too closed in.
I dislike beach designs that design oceans to be cluttered. It kinda looks odd. ![]()
I was thinking whirlpools. Yay?

Why not try darker water? Other quests did that, and it looks nice without it looking cluttered. ![]()

Added a rock in the end.
Thanks for your suggestions though, Tree and Jared! I'll be using "dark waters" for my House of Tides.

That looks great, Charizard.

I went through some of my old .qst files and found this. At some point I actually thought that this was a decent screen. Please give only constructive criticism, guys.
EDIT: Yes, the rest of the map is filled with similarly amazing screens. I literally have a massive desert with nothing but flat sand tiles and rocks.

There is too much Mountain in that screen. There is not enough Land in that screen. There is too few detail in that screen. There is much blandness in that screen. There is so many repetition in that screen. This is why I can't make posts anymore. That screen is still beautiful, it just needs some spicing up and it's good to go.
This is why you don't make me criticize these kind of things.

THIS SCREEN DOES NOT FOLLOW THE 4 CORNERS RULE. Close up that last corner and you'll be good to go! ![]()

Geoffry: I liked that screen right away! The reason I liked it was that the diagonal line and the shading and texture gave me the impression of a looooong mountain side. I like the idea that the walkable are is very low in elevation. It's plain, yes, but I don't think that is always a bad thing.

This rule has been discredited. Open corners can work, brah.
