Actually I think that sounds similar to most of our commercials too. :heh:

Not all, of course, there are some exceptions, but for the most part that's all you get here as well.

The official site is up, and there's a little more gameplay footage as well. I'm getting more excited than I should be and I'm trying to reel it in.

It's been a while since we had a handheld that wasn't controlled by stylus, so I'm quite looking forward to this. :D

All I have to respond to that one little quote is "Phantom Hourglass". It wasn't a perfect game, don't get me wrong, but it was still a direct sequel to Wind Waker.

According to the official website, this dark wizardry from the trailer is not Ganondorf at all, but a guy called Yuga, "a nefarious wizard, bent on returning Hyrule to darkness". Well, this is interesting!

Reviews aren't going to be influencing me buying the game, so I really don't care. I'm sure I'll have plenty of opinions on the matter in a couple of weeks. :D

I think what they mean is that it's the first Zelda where we're going to be in the same Hyrule as before.  It's the same Hyrule as ALttP's.  PH's overworld was the Realm of the Ocean King.  And besides, you know what else were direct sequels?  Zelda II, the Oracles/LA, and Majora's Mask.

Every Zelda game is technically a direct sequel/prequel. For example, in TP and WW, you've got some unfinished business to do that started in OoT. But we all know this. So I'll shut up. :P

So yeah, just a week left. I really am looking forward to it.

Yeah only a week to go before the game comes out, I really need to do something to pass the time right now it feels like I'm waiting for Christmas. <.<

You know its feels strange that I'm excited since I'm going to my first console release which is the XB1 release even through I hate it I'm kinda excited to join in the crowds even tough I'm just there to pick up a game and not the console. Sure hope there is not stabbings or anything at the gamestop where I'm going. :|

I'm passing the time with my first ever proper attempt at playing through Baldur's Gate (The Enhanced Edition this time around). I don't expect to be done by the time the game DOES come out, but I'll be having fun none the less.

I'm gonna make a big deal out of a tiny feature for a moment.

It's been there for a while, since the beginning in fact. Something I didn't really take full notice of, but I have now. And I love it dearly. That... would be the name at the top of the text box. That is going to be so helpful in both learning the characters' names and knowing who's talking. I've had trouble in the past sometimes figuring out who was speaking, so I'm going to love this. Please Nintendo, keep this for future installments...

I'd argue more that a Direct Sequel means playing as the same Link as the previous entry, hence the ones I specifically listed.  Games like ALttP, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess are more Indirect Sequels because while they do take place right after the three splits from Ocarina of Time, none of them deal with the same Link.  So I'm not sure what I would exactly call ALBW, since same Hyrule, but different Link- which hasn't been done before.  But this is just getting into semantics at this point. :blah:

How old is this guy?  It's been confirmed that 300 or so years have passed since LTTP took place.  This guy must be pushin' ancient.

I think it may be a descendant, as he mentioned in another video/screenshot about the events of A Link to the Past which took place during the time of his grandfather's grandfather's grandfather. Other rumors have it that he is the same Sahasrahla, but I guess we'll see.

Sahasrahla is one old fuck.  He could've easily taken on Agahnim/Ganon with his wisdom.
