Yes, but Nintendo has ALWAYS been pro-DRM. Before there was a word for it, even. On the other hand, anyone born before the GCN knows that Nintendo has reliable hardware.

Could be, Rem. But I also strongly suspect it's the DS itself. Which is both shocking and inexcusable, all at once.

I just got the game today. I'm loving it so far. It brings back tons of memories. This might be my favorite Pokemon game of all time. So far, I'm loving it much more than Platnium.

My Current Party:
* Bayleef (Lv. 17)
* Poliwag (Lv. 18)
* Zubat (Lv. 17)

Now I need to find a Heracross. I forgot when I get Headbutt for Bayleef. And I don't know if I should get Crobat. I trained a Crobat in Platnium, and its attack and special attack SUCKS!

Picked up my copy of SS about three hours ago, as well as HG for my sis. So far it's great, but I was a little worried at how slow the character moved. It's a good thing you got the running shoes quickly.

I haven't even entered Violet City yet. I like to take things slow and train my Pokémon, plus I was multi-tasking. But my sister tore open her copy immediately and has been on it non-stop, though she's been trying to catch most of the Pokémon that show up. Me? I usually just catch the ones I'm going to use, with a few exceptions. I've already got half of my eventual party started off:
  • Lv.12 Cyndaquil
  • Lv.10 Geodude
  • Lv.10 Pidgey
I went into the Dark Cave and walked around a bit to find and catch the Geodude. Now I'm gonna catch a Bellsprout and train it up before entering Violet City. w00t, this is fun.

I also messed around a bit with the Pokéwalker. Guess I gotta give it time, but I'm not that impressed yet. icon_razz.gif

He's a base 90 Attack, which isn't terrible... icon_shrug.gif

I remember in Silver there were Jigglypuff on Route 46.
But I'm going back there in SS, and I can't seem to find any. Do they only appear in the daytime, or were they removed in that area altogether?

Also, a list of names:
Me: Ken
Rival: Ark
Cyndaquil: Axel (thinking of renaming possibly)
Hoothoot: Crono
Rattata: Mick
Geodude: Gaia
Jigglypuff (once caught): Melody
Pidgey (once caught): Sora
Eevee (once found and evolved into Flareon): Kelvin
Spiky-Ear Pichu: Mike/Tim. I might have to flip a coin to decide. icon_razz.gif

And finally, a Growlithe if I ever find one: Evan/Angel, depending on gender

Silly Cat your avatar scares me.

Just got through the Goldenrod siege... spectacular. Still not very difficult, but hell, it's a Pokemon game. What can ya do. Onwards to the final badge!

Party;
Sun****era the Sunflora - Lv.32
SquekyHeat the Quilava - Lv.33 (almost there!)
Octo****er the Octillery - Lv.33
FrstyFreez the Glaceon - Lv.34
SCRAW?! the Pidgeot - Lv.37
DavidBowie the ass kickin Kangskhan - lv.34

I have no idea how anyone can give serious names to their Pokemans. Naming my Delibird PARTY! was the best thing ever because everytime I send it out I get to read "Go PARTY!" It's to bad Delibird is terrible icon_frown.gif

Seeing as I've gotten so far ahead of my friends, I'm Soft Resetting for a shiny Lugia. It should give them enough time to catch up.

icon_xd.gif Go AWAY! Go Go Dancer!

And I agree, the Radio Tower is one of my favorite parts in any Pokemon game. Charging up a tower full of grunts with awesome music in the background... epic.

icon_lol.gif Pretty funny, though I normally give mine serious names. It just doesn't seem right to give them joke names. My team so far:

Fritz the Quilava
Lucky the Togepi
Scout the Flaffy
Roll the Sandshrew

I'm surprised how strong Togepi is. It can take down almost anything! And having it know extrasensory by default really helps.

I never name mine. I kinda like their ordinary names. icon_shrug.gif

Anyways, just conquered Slowpoke Well. Getting ready for Bugzy. It'll be easy, thanks to Quilava. icon_razz.gif

Current party:
  • Egg ( icon_deformed.gif )
  • Lv.17 Quilava
  • Lv.14 Pidgey
  • Lv. 17 Bellsprout
  • Lv. 15 Geodude
On a side note, is it just me, or did they lower Cyndaquil's necessary level of evolution? He evolved at 14, and I thought it was higher before... Unless I'm just drawing a blank. icon_unsettled.gif

No, he evolved at fourteen in the originals.

Is it just me, or does Falkner seem easier than in the originals? When I fought him in Crystal, he used gust and mud slap. In HG, he only use tackle. icon_shrug.gif

And on a similar not, why does Bugsy have a Metapod and a Kakuna? Those were pushovers!

No, they made him a lot harder in this with the addition of Roost. Unless you have something that takes half his Pigeotto's HP, it takes a bit to take him down.

Bugsy has those two because the Scyther is so kickass.

EDIT: there's no point in quoting the post before yours.

He has roost? He never used it. Then again, I killed him in two hits.

Scizor was a bit tougher, but no match for Quilava and ember.

I have also just made it to Azalea town. Like, quite literally just got there before I had to turn it off to go do something else. I don't really have my team planned out like most of you do, but here's what it looks like so far:

Quilava aka "Mad Hatter" @ lvl. 18
Pidgey aka "Tweedledee" @ lvl. 18
Mareep aka "Alice" @ lvl. 17

And I just hatched that Togepi. May or may not keep it...
