yeah, I went on, and I can't beat that stupid self destruct thingy, it's hard, only 8 sec each screen!
Boy, I wish there was an easier way.

easier way? Well you should try to learn to change items with the Z/X keys as that way you can change items fast. If you open the subscreen menu during the countdown, you'll run out of time and BOOM! icon_frown.gif

Kso, I'm finally playing this because I'm in the need of something to do..

I am unable to enter level 1.. I can get to the screen with the npc being all "OMG POWER PLANT IS BEING PWND" but, I'm assuming this is a closed gate here, even though it looks like stairs.

I've been walking around the city, though what the cops aren't blocking the rioters are..

Thus far, I have the l1 boomer and an E tank.

What do I do now, and how do I get past the gate into the power plant? (if that's what I'm supposed to do.)

in megacity, buy a bomb, find a red brick wall and bomb the middle, the sewers will appear, enter it and follow the path to find the power station.

Indeed. To be more specific, bomb the cracked part on the red prick building that is one screen south from the E-Center. (There's a guy who gives you this tip but his info costs so screw him icon_razz.gif )

Many people wonder when will you get the "sword" in the quest. Well I can tell you that you get it it after beating the first mini-boss, which isn't that far away in the Power Station...

Oh and the custom bosses in this quest are a bit on the hard side so try not to get too frustrated with them, mmkay. icon_wink.gif

Xdragon, finished the quest already? (And please dont spoil the ending if you have something to say!!)

Well, congrats then, Xdragon. icon_wink.gif MMDWR is regarded as one of the toughest quests out there so I hope you had that nice feeling of accomplishment after beating the whole thing. May I ask your finishing time and number of deaths as it always interests me how long it takes for people to beat the quest and how many times they get killed.

Well, the miniboss got me 2 or 3 times because my hand kept falling asleep due to this craptastic keyboard.

I got the sword, though.. Couldn't proceed through the rest of the power factory, it didn't look like..

Am now in the little ducts under the museum after you bomb the wall. You seem to have an obsession with bats that I do not share.

Anyway, the next time a bat kills me, I'm gonna trot off to the mountains and see if I can find Dr. Light, since he has stuffs... Is this what I'm supposed to be doing?

You're in the...museum basement? You should get outta there and head back to Power Plant if you haven't finished the place yet. If my memory serves me right then I can tell you you can't get to Dr Light before you get that power chip from Iso Dome which is level 2.

I'm mostly posting here just to bump the topic back out of oblivion, but I'd also like to say that I got around to beating this quest last week. Everything I've heard about the ending was true: it was very good, but very hard. The only thing that kind of bothered me was the appearance of ... that character. You know the one I mean. He was in the first page of tiles in the Tileset, so that whole thing was sort of ruined for me. It was still done very well, though.

Deaths - 30
Time - 27:43:24

Many of those deaths and lots of the time was because of the map-making, and how I had to be sure to visit every screen, and because of how hard I looked for secrets. The final boss killed me about 5 times, though, so that definitely contributed.

Well, I don't have any time to write a review right now, but expect yet another 5/5.

Okay, nice to know that yet another person has beaten MMDWR DC. I'm really grateful to all of those people who gave me honest feedback about the first version of MMDWR and listed all the flaws it had. I think only 3 or 4 people finished the first one, but DC has been beaten by tons of people. Thank god I realized to make a director's cut of this game, otherwise MMDWR would have been long forgotten and all my hard work would have gone down the toilet. icon_razz.gif

But enough of that.
You're obviously a very skillful player as you only died 30 times, Jish. And I still cannot thank you enough for making those MMDWR maps. It seemed to drastically reduce the amount of questions considering DWR.

...and reviews are always nice to read as they make me a better questmaker. Even though DWR has bunch of 5 star ratings here, I just stumbled upon a small ZC forum a few days ago where I saw people bashing the hell out of MMDWR DC. They made some valid points, but their major gripe seemed to be the difficulty. I guess I've learned my lesson not to make the very first boss of the game too hard. icon_smile.gif And I've been wondering if I should make an "easy mode" of MMDWR. I mean, there are cheat devices people can use, but maybe I should put up a poll asking if some people would like to see a "beginners DWR".

I understand your pain, I lowered my game's difficulty, and now I feel I shouldn't have. MMDWR:DC is very tough, but skillfully made, and the difficulty I think is really just part of your style. While some players would like to see an easier version, just remember, you can't satisfy everyone.

I think you should leave it the way it is. My only complaint is that finding the route to get to the Power plant was a little obscure. Took me a while to find that bombable wall in Megacity. The first time I tried it I was turned off because I couldn't find it, but when I found out what to do, I loved the game. I plan on finishing it soon.

No need to fix what ain't broken or how the saying goes. ^_^

For people who have troubles with the hard bosses there is a thing called ZC Console. And maps by Jish are really awesome. people should really check them out. icon_wink.gif

Peteo, you should only concentrate on making Lost Isle now. It will be even more popular than Wily's Revenge and hopefully it will be a better quest too icon_razz.gif No need to spend your time making the 100th version of MMDWR.

Yes, that's a fact I have to accept one of these days. icon_smile.gif
And I agree with Johan, since I have many new ZC related challenges ahead for me, I should concentrate on them instead of staying put and perfecting a game I released almost 2 years ago.

But Johan, comparing Lost Isle and MMDWR, that's something I don't wanna see nor do. They're 2 totally different kind of quests and both will have their own unique things and different pros and cons. icon_wink.gif

Ok ok no comparing then.

But that muchI have to say that after playing that new popular unnamed icon_razz.gif quest I think Wily's Revenge is still the biggest quest in the quest database. But that's how it should be after you built the quest like, what? 3 years? :-) I hope your next quests will be as big as well. Wait, I take that last commewnt back! I don't want to wait for another 3 years for your next quest! icon_frown.gif
