Yeah, it's obviously Ness's confirmation.

Q: Why does it say MOTHER on this item?
A: BECAUSE WE'RE FREAKIN' GIVING AWAY THE FACT THAT NESS WILL BE IN THE GAME!! icon_deformed.gif

Interesting. It may be something I'll turn off in the Item Switch, though. I'm not too hot on it. icon_unsettled.gif

As Ness was in the first two SSB games, I doubt that is what it's hinting at. If it was supposed to hint at Ness is in the game, it would have said "Earthbound" or "Mother 2" on the badge. However, the design of the Franklin Badge is the same as the one that came with the deluxe version of Mother 3, which may hint at Lucas or a character from Mother 3 having made it into Brawl. Or better yet stages from Mother 3 and even possibly an official translation of it.

Well, now that I think about it, Mallow might not work so well. HE CAN'T JUMP XD. Assist trophy would work, though.

Another new character. Dude, this is awesome in a very weird way o_O
Pokemon trainer! What a wimp! Letting the others do the fighting for him, heh.
I hope that changing his color also changes his outfit, because the Fire Red/Leaf Green guy looks so boring icon_razz.gif
*Wonders about his final Smash* Legendary?

But it does sound exciting fighting him. Think about it. You'd have to switch your strategy every time he switched pokemon. And maybe, as an alternate outfit, they'd have the girl version, so maybe that's why he doesn't have a name.

I've always wanted a Pokemon trainer in SSB. Why couldn't he have been in Melee? icon_frown.gif

Looking at them closely, it's kinda strange how Pokemon has always seemed less-developed than other games, graphically. The figures here look like Action Figures or something along the lines of that.

The Pokmon Trainer from FireRed and LeafGreen? In SSBB?! That's very interesting!

All the more reason for me to get this game!

That's 'cause they're based on the anime and they're not realistic-looking.

I can't say I'm that interested in the Pokemon trainer. icon_unsettled.gif I'd rather use Pikachu, myself.

... depends on how beastly Charizard is, though. icon_deformed.gif

He's just the "Generic Pokemon Trainer." If anything, the point is to make him the MOST GENERIC he can get! He's no hero. He's just the tool with which to present his pokemon for battle.

Man. It'll be really weird to face him as Pikachu. icon_razz.gif

Not too weird... It's like a trainer against a wild Pokemon. A fairly even match. icon_unsettled.gif

I WOULD LOVE IT TO BE FRENZY PLANT!

/caps

Frenzy Plant is great. In my stupid fanfic/fanart I always have a Tangela that uses Frenzy Plant. IT'S THE BEST!

Maybe the Final Smash is all the Pokemon coming out and shooting a super beam, or something. icon_deformed.gif

Or maybe the Trainer throws pokeballs, captures the other fighters, bangs them around, and then casts them back out. icon_deformed.gif

So, the FireRed/LeafGreen trainer shows up in Brawl. That's gotta be interesting. I'm interested in how the Pokemon fight, myself, and how it works in matches. We need a video of this guy in action!

The Final Smash could be anything. I'm hoping the most that it would be a Legendary Pokemon. But, Mewtwo is a character in Melee, so I'm sure he won't be the Final Smash in Brawl. I can't really think of a Pokemon that would successfully be a Final Smash Pokemon.
