It looks good, But I think the water needs to be blueer. Also I think it would help out alot to add another layer if transparent water.

blueer

Word of the Year

I think the river looks fine, but the waterfall looks a bit odd to me. But I bet if it is animating it would look good, but in its picture form, it has a transparent look and it is weird.

Never mess with the gamer that plays the cool games. > :(

Seriously, that waterfall looks nice. I wonder if Tiny_Dawnlight is hiding in there...

Oh God, something tells me I should not have looked to far back into my ZC work. Have some screens.

Old GB Screens (JPG Format >_>)

vs.

New GB Screens (PNG Format =D)

Honestly, I think the first screen of the old GB looks decent, but that second one...

It goes to show how much better you get by practice. Have a look at the first screen I made.

I can pin point a lot of errors on my first screen: limited walking space on top edge, gross tiles by yours truly, a lot of stuff that I personally would consider an insult to the amazing graphical style to the GB Zeldas. Also mountains are too tall for my tastes. These were made late-2009, while my new ones were late-2013.

I like your newest screen. It's an improvement for sure. :)

Poking around with my first actual attempt at a quest (that got anywhere) since... maybe sometime in the mid-2000s? Using my own tileset (of course! that's half the reason I made it in the first place... XD), with extra stuff added as I need it.  Once I'm done with the quest itself I'll probably release an updated version of the tileset that includes all the stuff that I added along the way (aside from the really quest-specific stuff that I don't really want other people using, anyway.)

ShieldShop_zpseb3a8cae.pngBridgeOut_zps7ff1fa99.pngOldManSword_zps43c88989.png

Some early areas of the game.  There's a town right around the middle of the map, and you start out pretty close by; these areas are all either in or right outside the town.  On the left is a shield shop (with pet Like-Like for garbage disposal!), and on the far right is an old guy who teaches  you something extremely useful if you show up with a better sword.  As you can see here, specific item names are always highlighted in red.  A few other things get highlighted different colors, too--Link's name in light green, other named characters in colors that fit them, and so on.

King_zpsec2785aa.png  Chapel_zps8b779ac8.pngShop_zpsd7981b95.png

Some other semi-early stuff.  North of town is a castle, and the king who's sent you to gather a series of eight relics will give you hints as to where the next one might be.  Further outside of town there's a chapel where the old guy in the middle screenshot hangs out; he'll remove cursed items for you if you happen to stumble across any (so far there's three, though only one's available in what I've made of the game so far. None of them are horribly crippling if you happen to accidentally pick one up, but they are very annoying.)

And on the right is the typical "really expensive" shop, except instead of the expected Blue Ring he's selling... a Green Ring??  (...also, I should probably make his text a bit more centered above him instead of way off to the left.)

 Zora_zpsc2f52cf2.pngLevel_zpsff71617f.pngRing_zpsa75c8039.png

A shop you'll need to find later on.  I have no idea why my selected item was the letter in that screenshot, by the way. XD

And a couple of screens from the dungeon I just finished up.  Note that the dungeon map doesn't match up with the location from the first screen... that's because it has multiple floors (two main floors and one basement, to be specific), and what's shown on the map is only one of them at a time.  The blocks on the floor of the first room are actually pretty similar to the dungeon's full layout with all floors overlaid on top of each other, though it's not quite an exact match.

My god, that tileset is full of win. My favourite screen is probably the Zora one.

I think it's funny you need to cross deep water to get to the item to swim in deep water.

Pointy ears, I like.

The tileset is great and the game looks like a golden oldie. I like where this is going.

The statue of Her Grace overlooks the graveyard, watching mankind rest in sleep eternal.

Palette not final; I suck at making dark palettes.

It looks more like a light palette.

Yeah, I'm using my main overworld palette. It's placeholder for sure.  :P

I like, although the version you shown on IRC looks better.
