By now it probably looks like I've been working on this shot for months. That's probably true. Sort of. I keep remaking it, but I can't settle with one. This one is hardly finished, if you look closely you'll see a lot of transitioning issues between the towers and the castle walls. And the blue roof is definitively going to be swapped out with something that actually looks good.

That looks beautiful! I've looked closely, and I really can't see much of a problem with the wall to tower transition, and I actually love the blue roof. You obviously hold yourself to a very high standard. Just be careful that you don't spend so much time on details only you will notice that your quest never gets finished.

Divine, Migokalle. I see nothing wrong. I agree with Aevin on every point, by the way.

The castle looks great both tile and design wise. There's something about the dark blue that feels distracting, though. Also this is debatable but why are the pillars in ruin? I mean, it looks cool, but wouldn't they suit more of an abandoned temple rather than a grand entrance to a capital city?

Oh well, looks great regardless.

Man that is one great screen. I really love this screen, although the water looks a little odd but besides that, everything else seems really perfect.

We have been telling him this for years.

Great job, Migo; it looks fantastic.  I agree about the transitions between the walls and towers.  A slightly different blue for the water may be good as well, though this is probably only necessary if you are keeping the blue rooves: the two blues do not compliment each other well.  The pillar without damage may look better if it takes the place of the one closest to the castle--at least, it may look better.  At any rate, nicely done.

The floor, the sand (?) and the lava (??) all clash with one another. They all seem to have different detail levels.

Map of my work-in-progress dungeon.

The 'moat' around the lava-filled area fills up with lava after you beat the miniboss, allowing you to reach the center.

This dungeon is supposed to blend symmetrical artificial constructs (outer area and walls) with random, natural formations (rock islands in the lava).

Note that the boss door doesn't actually lead to the boss - there's more to this dungeon that I still need to make.

Oh wow that looks really great! I especially like how you made the lava look.

Oh yeah, forgot to comment on your screen. I think it looks great except for the slightly bare-looking left entrance and the sky (especially the clouds).

Yeah it's still a WIP screen but I agree, I need to add more detail to the sky. Although I'm not too sure how it will be done O_o
