I never believed that holding Down + B helps when catching Pokemon, but I find myself doing it every time... and if I don't do it, I feel like it won't stay in the Pokeball. Weird.

I kind of seem to do that too. Ever since Red version, i always hold down the + control and press B or A really fast to catch the darn thing. xD

Just got the game 5 hours ago. I had to sell my Final Fantasy III DS game to buy Heartgold since i was missing 10 dollars more and it was completely worth it. Johto looks absolutely beautiful. It's so colorful and i love the new touch screen features. It makes navigation through menus so easier.

Apparently, Pokemon can randomly join you when you use the pokewalker. i had no Pokemon in it, and a Pidgey randomly joined me.

Um, so how do I attach the little clip part to the back of the Pokewalker if I don't have an itty bitty Phillips head screw driver??

GC: You can't. icon_frown.gif But as A REAL MAN I own several screwdrivers!!

Whoooo, got HeartGold! icon_biggrin.gif I'm up to Faulkner right now, and the team is looking pretty good:
"Buzzsaw" the Chikorita: Level 11
"Batman" the Zubat: Level 10
"Boomtown" the Houndour: Level 9

This team is actually pretty ****ty against Faulkner, I've got to get Batman to 13 so he learns Bite. Then it'll be fine. I gotta be careful with Boomtown, as one more level and he won't obey me. icon_frown.gif

Also, the PokeWalker is... small. Haven't removed the tab yet so don't know how it works.

I know think they join you on that route a lot. I had another Pidgey join Wow, it really sucks that you can't use the clip. I've had it on since about 2:00 P.M. It is now 7:07.

Did you get yours on?

Because if you did, you should share some secrets.

JUST got home with SoulSilver. Definitely 0-o'd at the size of the Pokewalker, as I was expecting it to be about 1 inch bigger in diameter.

Really, the only event Pokemon I was interested in was the one that gets you some extra backstory on your rival. Of course, I believe I already missed the event that gives you the trigger Pokemon for that one (a Pichu of some sort?).

Anywho, I'm gonna quit yakking now and PLAY.

I always do, too, only I always thought it was just "B." icon_eek.gif

All you have to do is find a hotspot. Heck, McDonald's has one. Just go there and make a trade.
Can I use my Wii as a hotspot?

And, if you don't mind me asking, if you don't trade, how will you get a Pichu? You can't get them until Kanto, unless somebody trades you one. And if you're not evolving it, definitely get somebody to trade you a Pikachu-colored Pichu so you can the Spiky-eared Pichu.
Well, that was exactly the plan: Get to Kanto, catch Pikachu, breed it with Ditto, then hatch the egg.

Is the Spiky-Eared Pichu strong or something?

I pretty much remember whose cell phone numbers are actually worthwhile getting (ones who give you stones and such) so there have been a few that I've had the pleasure to deny. Holy **** it's great.

"Hey! Do you want to trade phone numbers?"
"No."
"Oh... well, I suppose it's true what they say! Firebreathers aren't well liked!"

There've been better ones, but man they are all sound so depressed when you shoot them down, it's kinda funny.

Team thus far;
Sun****era the Sunflora - Lv.24
SquekyHeat the Quilava - Lv.25
SCRAW?! the Pigeotto - Lv.24
Octo****er the Octillery - Lv.25
FrostyFreez the Glaceon - Lv.1
DavidBowie the Kangaskhan - Lv.8

Nope, it hasn't been given out yet; not even in Japan. It's probably going to come out with the 13th movie in Japan.

Not sure about the Wii.

The Spiky-Eared Pichu knows some special moves, and can never evolve or be traded.

Never done it, never will. It would be kind of neat if they made it actually do something though, just as an easter egg

Something I just noticed: As most of you know, Natures effect a Pokemon's stats. In this game, they have the stats effected highlighted depending on the nature. The stat that is boosted is tinted orange, and the stat that is lowered is tinted blue.
