They posted pit's Final smash today, and I personally think it looks worse than DK's.

and on the Kid Icarus theme theme, I think it sounds like the tried to mix orchestral music with Jazz.

Pit's final smash isn't that stupid. It's kinda like the Unown in SSBM.

Exactly. That's why it's bad. It just doesn't seem like a good finishing move. Like Bowser transforming into an invincible Giga Bowser. Some of the final smashes just from looking at them are unbalanced. Samus's is powerful but then forces you to play as Zero Suit who seems to be like Shiek. No flaws there if you master both characters. Giga Bowser is capable to decimating everyone if the fight has been going on for awhile. Link's seems awfully weak while I could say the same for Mario's. DK's is easily avoidable and could backfire. Pit's final just seems like a slower and more powerful Unown.

I also found something odd with Ike. Aether is supposed to be Ike finishing move in FE9 and FE10 but Sakurai decides to make it as an Up-B and that's not to great for a recovery move. What's the final smash supposed to be now? I got a feeling that Sakurai intended to have Ike replace Roy. Since Sakurai doesn't know much about him, he sticks several of Roy's elements onto Ike such as Eruption. I'm pretty sure Ike's Ragnell is of Darkness while the Alondite used by the Black Knight is of Light. Play FE10 and you'll see what I mean.

At least the previous FE characters were all according to their games. Except Roy's B>. In addition, all the stages look pretty much the same to me. 2 or 3 platforms with a main base. Melee's stages were all almost all different. The only original one is DK's and that's recycling Ice Mountain.

I hope he doesn't screw this up. Just my 2 cents.
On second thought, Pit's FS does actually make sense. But still seems a bit lame.

Well, we only know what Pit's Final Smash looks like. We don't know how much damage it will deal or anything. So, we can't really judge the strength of a Final Smash via screenshots. I do admit that the Final Smash doesn't look as cool as what we've seen in the trailers. But you know, there are plenty of Final Smashes we haven't seen yet.

Ike's Final Smash better not be Astra. It's kinda like Link's final smash.

Q: Why does it say MOTHER on this item?
A: Is there anything WRONG with having an item that says that?

so The "Franklin Badge" Says "Mother" on it, giving us a clue what game it's from (Not that it came out over here at all -_-).

I can't personally see me using it often. It just doesn't seem overly useful.

Well, so much for hoping for another big way to end this week's updates. I was personally hoping on seeing a new character, but, oh well...

For those who have been doubting Ness's return, the Franklin Badge should be proof that he is returning. So, the Franklin badge is basically like Fox's Reflector. I wonder how useful it is. I'm pretty sure the badge is lost when the character who has it equipped gets KO'd, but I was wondering if it wear out. If it's true to Earthbound, it's not going to wear out. One thing bothers me, though. We've been seeing nothing but new items, minus the Poke Balls. I hope the items from Melee are returning.

Yeah, it's obviously Ness's confirmation.

Q: Why does it say MOTHER on this item?
A: BECAUSE WE'RE FREAKIN' GIVING AWAY THE FACT THAT NESS WILL BE IN THE GAME!! icon_deformed.gif

Interesting. It may be something I'll turn off in the Item Switch, though. I'm not too hot on it. icon_unsettled.gif

ARGH!!! When's the next update! I'm starting to get withdrawal here...
Anyway, Fanklin Badge sounds cool. Kinda like a Star, but less incincible-y. icon_deformed.gif

I feel your pain. The weekend can be pretty slow, since nothing is updated on weekends. But there's a bright side: Mondays are big days. Not only do you have a Smash update, but you also get a Wii Shop Channel update. Also, this Monday, two more Metroid Prime 3 videos.

Back on subject, if Konami brought someone else to Brawl (besides Solid Snake), I'd like it to be Goemon.

IPB Image
Unfortunately, he hasn't been seen in the States since the N64 era.

A moves - Pipe
B - Blocks (throws a silver block at someone. Occasionally throws a Star Block that deals more damage)
-> B - Ryo (throws a coin)
Smash -> B - Flaming Ryo (charges a bit, then throws a flaming Ryo)
Down B - (still haven't decided)
Up B - Sudden Impact (hair turns golden (this really happened in a game!), giving Goemon increased attack power. If done in the air, launches Goemon in a certain direction via the control stick (like Fox's Fire Fox))
Grab - Chain Pipe (similar to Samus's Grapple Beam and Link's Hookshot)

Final Smash: Impact (summons Impact, who then fires a huge barrage of nasal bullets, followed by a mouth laser)

But then, there are still many characters who are potentially good choices for Brawl.

I'd like to see Mallow and Geno in this game... (I can only imagine what Mallow's final smash would be icon_heh.gif)
