Classic trees were not working for the perspective I was going for, the trees shadows were facing the opposite direction to that which would even make sense considering the this type of perspective this overworld has. So I had to redesign the tree's perspective, it was risky, but I think it worked out. What do you guys think?

Granted, I'll need to add some shade in front of the trees as well, which will itself be of some work, but I believe it's starting to come together pretty well.

Playing with a new palette? Ja oder nein? I might need to do some tweaks in the dirt colors.

God dammit. I never really notice mistakes until I post something. That bush's colors are screwed up. I'll need to fix that.

NJF, remove the outlines. ;)

Shane, that looks very good I'd like to see you finish that quest.

Fausch, the yellow colour should be more brown. :)

Shane: It looks great, a tad bright for my tastes, but I don't know the background or theme you are aiming for, so I'll give it a 5 star rating either way.

Fausch: I love what you're trying to do here, but many things seem quite off about this image.

Love those screens NJF! Especially with the clash of shadows on the mountains and trees, makes it look really nice!

Thanks Eddy, I do have to fix something though, it makes no sense for the trees to have a shade but yet not give off a shadow. Ghost trees. Lol

NJF: Ick, outlines. I'm loving the general idea of the screens, but the outlines on the bushes and trees stand out and not in a good way.

Shane: Me gusta. My only suggestion (and requires a little tile editing) is to maybe smooth the transition between sand and the walls. It looks a little odd how it just kinda stops right at the walls, y'know?

Fausch: Echoing Avataro's sentiments. Dem yellow cliffs.

Overall though, really nice screens guys.

I'm trying to go for a super-sunny, almost too fucking sunny look. What do I need to do to fix it?

After uploading the images, I noticed there is still some of the black outline which exists on the trees, which also explains why the outlines for those trees were also really noticeable in the top left corners because they were a pixel thicker than in the other three tiles. But with these images in mind, is there an improvement? And is this the direction I should follow?

I liked the (tree) outlines, but I almost always do.

as for that yellow action...  the slate path pieces look awful with that color.  the cliff edging is fine, but the rocks and slate should be changed to a greyscale tone.

I have nothing for Shane's, which I think is a good sign,

The slate path or bridge is only a placeholder until I find something that I like. I may not change the look of the mountain color as of yet, I am aiming for a classic look, and it would actually take a really really long time to fix this.
