The tiles below the statues that also run up the left side of the screen stand out to me. They don't blend well in my opinion.
Otherwise nothing to critique.

Yes I was thinking the same thing when I saw your screen Shane. I'm not sure how to fix it though. Maybe if you replaced these tiles with water? ![]()

Water? On the roof? ![]()
I got a better idea, but it's going to be hard to explain in words so expect a shot soon.

Not on the roof but behind the wall. I imagine these walls in your first shot to be 1 tile wide walls with a stone ground behind the wall. Anyways, your new shot is really good ![]()

It's not the Dark World... It's not Lorule... What is this place?

Well, here goes nothing:

Level 5 of Adam's Quest II. The tile on the right wall is supposed to have a key sitting on it, but it was collected prior to the screenshot.

The shot looks good, But those item graphics look awesome!

Thanks! The Roc's Feather replacement is the Wing Boots sprite from the NES game Faxanadu and the modified Battle Axe sprite is from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

This looks very nice. I feel like the reds could feel less "overpowering". But the lava and item sprites look like nice additions. Good job!

Actually... it's a entirely different world. I don't support cliches!! ![]()

Could you elaborate on what you mean by overpowering, Shane? I want to make sure that I understand exactly what you are suggesting so I know how to interpret your feedback. I think I have an idea, but I want to make sure. And thanks for the compliment and feedback.

It's just too red. It's not visually bad, but if you could make the walls more of a red-grey or gold, it might look nicer.
