If we have to wait another entire year, they better show Zelda's tits in 8K 3D HD with a VR headset.
I feel like Nintendo is trying to make this game huge, and packed with content. It's development cycle is not unlike TP's in many ways, including the dual console release. That game got delayed twice. I think it only took two years after its announcement though, and not what.. four years now? As a fan, I just hope it is worth that wait. I'm counting the days til E3.
I will say though, that I'm buying the Wii U version first. If it is as awesome as it looks, and Nintendo releases other good games too, then I might pick up the NX-- and this may be their marketing strategy. How many of us bought TP three times? I own it on GC, Wii, and Wii U.
This is another thread, but I still feel like the Wii U would have done better if Nintendo pulled harder at 3rd party support.
We shouldn't make vast assumptions about the difficulty and woes of porting a game. We don't know anything that goes on in Nintendo's building (Unless someone wants to risk getting fired, and confess to being on the dev team). We don't know specifics for the hardware they are using, what they are coding it in, how many programmers, engineers, and designers, and artists they have at a time on one project, or how often they actually get together and work on it. I'm annoyed it is taking longer, and I hope for Nintendo's sake, it is all worth it, otherwise, they will have a lot of angry fans.
Even if it is this magical quick port that Koh describes, it could still go slow cause the company is still making a new system, and, presumably, other huge AAA list games in their core franchises, which have yet to be seen. That would also explain why they have all but abandoned the Wii U.
