It almost worries me that they might just have "testers" posing as highly skilled players.
Or just employees from Nintendo.
I think if they invited people such as Mew2King or others, it could work very well for them in the end, but I'll watch either way.

Looks like Chrom is out of the picture (unless if we have 3 Fire Emblem characters in this game). lol, they went with Ike's Radiant Dawn Hero outfit. I wonder if we can play him in his Vanguard outfit. 
I really hope he's nerfed like crazy in this version.

I don't think Ike needs to be nerfed.
I don't really like his new appearance. I kind of like the old Ike better.

His Radiant Dawn look makes him look like he's on steroids. And I remember from Brawl that he can KO you at 50% with a fully charged side smash attack. Avoidable? Yes. But use an item that stuns you followed with a smash attack? Not so much.

You can mash out of stun by spinning the control stick. Also, your amount of stun depends on your damage. I can mash out at around 50% and shield his attack. With each successful spin of the analog stick, you get a certain amount of frames less of stun.
Also, I could crap on Ike with Falco in Brawl. He just sucked in Brawl.

Yeah, um Ike really sucked in Brawl to be honest. I'd happily take his attacks doing a little bit less damage if they got sped up. He doesn't need nerfing really.
I'm a bit surprised he's in too.

Having three FE characters is most likely, in my opinion, since i would find it really strange if they decided not to bring in an Awakening character. Chrom or Robin (either gender, possibly both via alt costumes?) would be the most likely candidates for a third character from the series.
Besides, don't we have four Pokémon characters and six Mario Characters confirmed so far? It would seem a little unfair.
And while I have nothing against Chrom, I'd prefer seeing Robin since he/she isn't just another sword-wielder and would make for better variety in the game's FE cast.

Well, you'd probably have to be pretty damn strong to wield that large blade with one hand.
As for his attack power, sure, he had some really powerful smash attacks that could easily knock you out at early percents, but he was also very slow, and horrible in the air. I think that balances him out.

Path of Radiance Ike can wield that sword with one hand easily and he's nowhere near as muscular as RD Ike.

If you knew Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn's story, then you would probably scratch your head on how Ike suddenly became a super sayian within a short period of time.

All I can hope for is that they decide to put in Chrom as a third. If not... sigh. I never liked Ike anyway (no presidential jokes), so my reaction to this announcement is a resounding "mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." If it means we don't get an Awakening character, then I'll end up disappointed.
