Time to wake this thread back up from it's sleep!

First screen of my Hyrule Field. What do you guys think?
I'm sorry, I don't really like this a whole lot. The mountains are (mostly) fine, though the one overlapping the other one at the left part of the screen looks downright bad, not to mention wrong.
One of the major problems with the way you design your screens Lynker, is the fact that you cram so much crap into the middle of it, instead of spreading it around a little. You want to give the player space to move in, so if you put the trees around the outer parts of the shot instead (though if you want them at the edge,
make sure there's another tree, or something in the screen next to it).
Another problem, is the fact that you keep using as many different tiles as you can get. See the small AltttP-tree'ish thing? That clashes with the smaller "MC" trees, and thus completely ruins any sort of immersion the player might have had beforehand. Instead of looking at cool tiles going "Damn, I want that in my game",
consider every single tile you put into it. Think
why you choose that tile, and why it should be where you want it to be. If you can't find a good reason,
don't put it in there. The most important thing you could possibly learn about screen design is knowing when
not to put an object down.
I have one good thing to say about this one though (that I couldn't say about your others); you closed the upper right corner in a nice way. Instead of putting a simple tree in the middle of the corner, you actually made the entire area inaccessible instead. This works, because not only does it effectively block the corner, but it also doesn't look too cheap. I do have one suggestion though, and that would be to place a few trees in there, or perhaps water. I'd personally go for a little pond of water occupying that entire space, as it would greatly help break up the monotony, not to mention add a little extra color that
isn't green (which the screen has way too much of at the moment).
So basically: not a very good screen in my eyes. It has a few nice twists that I like, but it's mostly just "another generic shot", and while it's not downright
bad, it's just nothing interesting, and it's certainly not very memorable.
