No, the whistle just returns you to the "pre-awakened" village.
As I recall from the first time, the awakened village opens to the right of Link's house and the entrance to the next nightmare can be found and opened.

As I recall from the first time, the awakened village opens to the right of Link's house and the entrance to the next nightmare can be found and opened.

It took me to the right where the squirrel is, then I went right, then up, then right and then went up the mountain. Took a left and at the end blew my whistle took the warp went to the Deku Jungle and this time it didn't tell me that I needed the 8 nightmares. I walked up.

EDIT: What I did in the above answer I found these bugs and questions, BUT when you quit and restart the warp in Link's house is back. I think I was lucky it took me to the squirrel first the first time I tried it using the whistle. Because after restarting and going back to the warp in Twilight Gardens. And doing that again and coming out of Link's house and using the whistle it took me everywhere but and like you said it is the "pre-awakened" village. And another thing strange I only have 7 triforces/crystals and it let me in where it before told you that you needed 8 nightmares to pass.

@ShadowTiger Bug in Deku Jungle.

I can see a place to bomb with the lens but bombs don't work.

Can't go to the left here. Are we suppose to be able to?

I've tried everything to make that barrier disappear. With the lens I can see that they aren't there and you can get to the stairs.

Question

I killed all the enemies in this room and the door didn't open. Pushed on the two silver blocks also. Is this a one way door?

In the Hall of Statues there is a room you need the mirror shield for to kill some enemies. So please where is the mirror shield? Sorry I didn't get the picture for this room.

There is another room with a bunch of chicken wizzrobes that take you back to the beginning. I did manage to move the blue blocks and get to the chest and it had a map in it. You have a map of the B1 floor when you go into the statues. I have to say that was a lot of work for a map I already have. Is that map for another floor that I haven't gotten to yet? Sorry I didn't get the picture for this room.

Before taking the warp in Twilight Gardens I went into the Vines to see if you got those two rooms fixed that I posting in post #419, the third and fourth picture down. But I still couldn't open the doors.

The mirror shield is in Marathon, also where you get the last triforce (crystal) piece.. You should be able to get in Marathon after getting the 2 medallions...something is not right?

Marathon is thru Elf Cave but where is Elf Cave??

Where is Marathon exactly? So the Deku Jungle and the Hall of Statues is not next then Right? So what happen to me is not what is suppose to happen. Very Very weird!

EDIT: That 2.5 build one that ShadowTiger is talking about is looking much better now.

I got to the Hall of Statues just like I said in the above post. I think I figured it out why maybe it worked that way. I started my game up again and went to Twilight Gardens went in the warp. After leaving Link's house I blew my whistle and landed in the garden which is on the left side of Link's house. I then went to Deku Jungle to see if I could get in. This time they wouldn't let me go in without the finishing the 8 nightmares.

The first time after using the warp in Twilight Gardens and then leaving Link's house I looked around and found you couldn't go anywhere so I used my whistle and the first place it sent me to was where the squirrel is, which is to the right of where Link's house is. And Gendof said

So maybe me going right with the whistle after coming out of the house triggered something. The only place I went was up the mountain then. And they let me in. I thought maybe having gotten both medallions did it.

I haven't been able to whistle and have it take me to where the squirrel is on the first whistle again. It takes me everywhere else. And then if you go they tell you that you can't get in.

OK i made it through the hall of statues finally (geez)... got to this room the barrier was gone went into the Tree ( I do have the mirror shield) lost my sword and had to go all the way back and try again (or was it a windrobe?) ugh went back to this room and now the barrier is up ..and I don't know how I trigered it the first time.... I think this area is verrry hard with a lot of hard enemies ...I don't mind complaining, I am struggling here, help!

You could always get into the Deku Tree once you found the whistle.
The problem is, that without the mirror shield and the level4 sword, you get the crap beat out of you.
So...we need to get to the right of Link's house in the awakened village to get to the Elfin Caves and, thence to Marathon.
I am hopeful that Shadow Tiger continues the wonderful progress in debugging and we can struggle onward.
Having been through Marathon and the final Deku Tree dungeons several years ago, I can assure you that it all gets tougher and more confusing.

Anyway, you're not even supposed to use the whistle after entering Link's awakened house after using the Twilight Pedestal / My new warp. You leave the house, go southeast, slash one of the bushes, and end up in the Elf Caves. (No bloody idea why it's named that. Seriously. No idea.)

I'm going to update this post for a bit to answer all the questions that have been asked. There are plenty.

Joe, I did fix all of your bugs. Thanks again for posting them. I believe the Elephant's Dream place should be just fine, if it's mostly a "I got stuck there" issue. I took out the chest and just put an HCP there instead, since the chest's undercombo would be the block's undercombo (Same undercombo for all things on a screen, always, except if secrets aren't involved.) so I added a down-only pushblock. Done.


I made this screen much easier, rest assured. Added quite a few hookshot blocks.

All the ways are blocked to get out from Link's house after using new warp from Twilight Gardens.

Oh, not at all. You can explore the entire town. You go southeast, and slash bushes. Just slash every bush that you can. Trust me.


That's an "event" screen. It's triggered elsewhere. It opens up the Deku Tree.


Thanks for showing this. This is actually the left-most edge of the map, and there isn't anything to the left at all. So I added a strip of unswimmable unwalkable anything under a layer that resembles water. Thanks.


Ah, that's also an event-driven triggerable. There's a statue boss that you have to defeat, which is just a few screens to the northeast/east of where you entered the place in the first place. Not toward the north side of the map. More like .. a little to the east.

I'll post a maze path right here, as well as a crude image to get past it all later.


Yeah, it's a one-way door. The room to the west has no enemies, and is only meant to be a room that you land in from somewhere, then walk to the east, into that room in the screenshot. Pretty much it. Not missing anything at all.


Yeah, guys, you actually shouldn't be using your whistle in the Awakened Village, I believe. It desequences things. I haven't tried it myself, at all, but I don't see any actual advantage in doing so.


I want to fix a few new bugs before I release a new version. I want to actually polish this thing.

I can probably set up some kinda shop and "grinding area" (For rupees) in the dungeon if necessary. Maybe a healing store. I have some shops left for a dummy shop to let you into a healing pool for some rupees.

These are the only two screens I can go to after coming back from the warp at Twilight Gardens. I have slashed every bush that is slashable on both screens. I can't go right on either of the screens. That is why I used the whistle to escape from these two screens.

I guess I'm the only one having this problem. Please tell me where on either of these two screens is the bush you slash?
