T. Platinum: Very roughly translated, I got "Prepare for lots of school work if you study language". Is that right?

"Chido...entonces espero que estudies para que aprendas este lenguage chingon y que estudes todos los dias para que no seas burro" means "Cool...then (I) hope that (you) study so you (can) learn this awesome language and that (you) study every day so (that) you won't be (dumb)."

I cheated-"Chingon", "Chido" and "burro" are slang terms. Heh...

@Ebola: I ust hope they don't mess it up too badly...should be a good movie.

I saw it.

I hated it.

Zack Snyder took everything good about Watchmen and reduced it to meaningless commercial smut behind a flimsy facade of depth and meaningfulness. F*** Zack Snyder. He violated the original story in ways I never imagined. Do you understand? VIOLATED. He relied on us, the fans, to eat this crap, this filth, this excrement like it were milk from the teat and I hope to heaven above that no living Watchmen fan will let this go unanswered. I KNOW WHAT SONIC FANS FEEL LIKE EVERY THREE YEARS, but this is than a video game. It's art, and Zack Snyder just pissed on the Sistine Chapel, reducing every passionate love scene into a f***ing PORNO with no point besides his own twisted version of love. It was too much- Watchmen was too much, too much for a movie. Too much for a B-movie director whose only talent is making visually exciting fight scenes. Too much to be condensed into a happy-go-lucky AL GORE COMMERCIAL with a nice Hallmark message at the end.

My inner fanboy trumps my inner cynic, apparently.

You have just uncovered one of the greatest truths of human nature.

That's where you got my attention. Like you mentioned there, I used to like Sonic games, but they've turned into crap. I think I can guess what it was like from some of my past experiences. Sorry it didn't turn out good.

Oh, ... ... I'm glad it's not just me; I don't really know what's a good movie and what's a bad movie anymore; I just watch the movie. I haven't had any prior experience with Watchmen, but that's probably what made the movie really good in my eyes. It connected with itself very well in the end, as a story, and had plenty of those good little elements that make a movie good. But it was nothing truly spectacular. IMHO, all the best movies that are actual movies, don't have a foundation on another media. They set the standard right there and then.

I mean, for me, it was like seeing all of the scenes in the movie and knowing that there was a better version of that scene in the graphic novel and being infinitely frustrated that they didn't use that one. I don't care if it's a four hour movie, if there's a better version, use it and I didn't like that so many plot exposition moments were missed. And I mean they totally massacred my favorite scene, which was

Sounds like almost any movie based off a book I've seen. Less humor, more sex. Hollywood loves ruining stories when they're made into movies.

So I saw a commercial for "Fast and Furious" today.
Me: Didn't they already make this movie?"
Friend: No man, that was "The Fast and the Furious."
Me: I can see the tagline now: "Too fast for article adjectives."

Random change of subject: Sonic 3. The way it works fascinates me. After I beat it on my DS, I found that if you plug a copy of Sonic and Knuckles into it (obviously impossible with a DS rom), it becomes a new game twice as long. So now I'm playing the expanded game on my Wii (the rom was too big for the DS to handle). I find it amazing that you can just plug in another game to combine the two games like that. I wonder why that idea never caught on.

I failed miserably at the ACT, the SAT's equivalent. Didn't study, but, d*mnit, I never had to before I got into highschool.

Alestance also hates Math, but he uses Python to figure out difficult computations. Command-line super calculator ftw.

He also needs to take the SATs if he wishes to get into a big college. His parents were too busy fighting to worry about such a big part in his life. What a beginning...
