Finished the last of the writing for the boss cutscenes. Will still have to write the final cutscene and make the actual cutscene screens.

I did that overworld hiding stuff the other day. Overworld segment is done, outside of adding in messages for NPCs and such.
Also, put together the new dungeon over the past couple days. Still have to place enemies and add some lore to it.

Finished designing all houses, caves, underwater passages, etc. in my quest.
Also, placed all trading game locations, mini-games, secret bosses and secret switches.
Now all I have to do to finish the quest is the remaining 10 dungeons.
Plus script the various enemies and bosses I haven't made yet.
Oh, and create the credits; along with the alternate endings.
Still, excellent progress!

A week or two ago, one of my beta testers added in a script to my quest behind my back. Don't know if it was a joke or not, but I played with it and it is now marvelous. It really transformed a section of a level that was rather repetitive into a fun gimmick that has already been done in another quest. That was just yesterday!
Today I made mad love to Avataro's update to Moosh's Newbie Boss Maker script. Many enemies and bosses have received updates that make them feel more authentic and, gasp, fair. Thank you so much for letting the boss spawn enemies, this gives me a ton more flexibility! Oh, and many of the new attacks are pretty awesome.
Testing every attack showed me how some of the more unfair attacks were balanced. Do you think those old unfair attacks have gone away for good? Muhahaha, they are still in my quest. Muahaha, for I have both versions of the script running at the same time! Don't think you will get away so easily in the end game. Good news is they are only in the end game instead of the whole game.
It is amazing how much can get done to a quest that is just about finished.

Today I made the layout of the overworld, with all kinds of different areas. There's a shore, plains, a magical forest, a desert, a mountain, a volcano, snowy mountains and more types. I needed a lot of areas since I'm now planning a fully connected 16x16 overworld, I hope that works out.
The most difficult part was picking the palettes, but DoR Hybrid has a lot of neat ones. I especially like those by Evile!
