Looks better. Now all you need is some sort of gigantic ant lion-like creature, and you are all set.

 

Also, here's the current shot after taking some people's advice here. I took off the doors - They need to be figured out again. I could use the older ones again, which were more pushed to the wall instead at a 45-degree angle.

First off I think this looks great.  I do agree that it could still use the doors.  My only issue is how square the tops of the trees look.  It looks to me like it's missing a row of pixels.

Ignoring the horrifying Link, looking for opinions! :)

I like the overall look of the screen, but I think it would be better if the trees and cliff on the left and top weren't quite so square. Maybe you could have the trees slant toward the middle on the bottom, and put a small "dent" in the cliffside leading North, narrowing the path a bit and making it not look quite so square? Those are just my ideas, but I do think something should be done to make it a little less square.

With regards to Linkus' shot, I'm going to go against public opinion and say I prefer the door-less version.

off the top of my head, one was by NoeL. three was an estimation. this is a great screenshot. a bit of variety in the trees would be nice. I don't mean "use some other types of trees, too." I mean use the same type of trees but alter some of the tiles to add variety for a more natular look. not enough people use tile variation. in 1.90, when the tile pages were limited, it was hard to vary stuff, but now it should be super easy.

YOU USED A DIFFERENT BOTTOM MOUNTAIN CORNER ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE MIDDLE TIER OF THE CAVE "ASCENT"

ALSO YOU SHOULD TONE DOWN THE WHITE IN THE WATERFALL OR MAKE THE WATER A BIT LIGHTER OR BOTH; THE CONTRAST IS A BIT BLINDING AS IS. OTHER THAN THAT I <3 NEWFIRST.

 

ALSO I'M NOT YELLING; CAPS LOCK WAS ON WHEN I STARTED TYPING THIS AND I SAID "SURE LET'S GO WITH THAT."

those different bottom corner pieces add variety. like in nature. keep them. people usually don't vary their tiles enough for my liking.
