After a bit of help from the chatroom, I would like to know if you can tell where the entrance to the stables is clear or not.

I'm guessing its the bottom, although that little piece sticking out of the top of the house looks a little misleading at first glance. Maybe put a few stone tiles right in front of the entrance?

Well, since you asked that question, I think I can see where it is, but if I'd come across this place without any input, I wouldn't have known. Maybe clear out the northern tree near the entrance so it doesn't look so closed in?

I didn't notice it a glance. The problem is that the open door tile is so small. But making it bigger would lead to other issues (namely, the door being too big logically for the stable). Maybe try putting some stepping stones or something on the ground underneath the shadow of the stable overhand to indicate an entrance?

This is amazing. Sigh...I wish I could do stuff like this.
Like above posters said, I would put some of those gray stones to indicate you can walk inside.
Well done!!

Yeah, I think this is your main problem. I'd move the whole barn up a square or two. Might be a good idea to remove the awning too, since the vertical wooden planks that mark the doorway get lost next to the vertical wooden planks of the awning above it and the vertical wooden planks of the barn roof. Alternatively, use stones or something else of a contrasting colour to mark the entrance.Maybe clear out the northern tree near the entrance so it doesn't look so closed in?

It's hard work making realistic screens.

Needs more stones. ![]()

Sure. I added a cactus too. Why not?

Looks better. Now all you need is some sort of gigantic ant lion-like creature, and you are all set.
Also, here's the current shot after taking some people's advice here. I took off the doors - They need to be figured out again. I could use the older ones again, which were more pushed to the wall instead at a 45-degree angle.

Maybe it's just me, but the doors made it more obvious that you could walk inside there than the path does. Granted, official Zelda games do similar things, but I think the doors would help.

The pathway and steps make it much easier to see the entrance at a glance now, but I agree with TS, having the door as well would make it look better.

So I guess my post is invisible? Okay.
Linkus, I think both have their pros and cons. I don't have much to say, to be honest. I love the Link though. Really cute.

Hey, are you making your own grass and dirt textures? I like the dirt one but the grass looks strange.
AND I LOVE THAT LINK WHERE DID YOU GET -
Never mind.

Who, me? The grass is edited from BS. The dirt was in the tileset, but I didn't know that until I ripped it from the database.
