I'll be getting Froakie and Charmander... Then dumping Charmander in the PC at the first opportunity. Once I get the game, that is.

I don't have a 3DS, so I can't really check for myself, but I'm curious about something. Black/White claimed in advertising that the game world would be focused more of big cities and such rather than small towns here and there, and I was rather disappointed in playing it that there was only one major city that felt as big as the advertisements and hype set it up to be. What's the game world focus on in this game? Are we looking at huge cities in a 3D overworld (3D as in polygons, I already know the 3DS's 3D isn't used), or many small towns like in the earlier generations?

Got one badge and so far:
* Braixen (Lv. 22)
* Pikachu (Lv. 19)
* Wartortle (Lv. 21)
* Floette (Lv. 20)
So far, I'm loving the game. Especially how they handle Exp Share as a key item to prevent Level grinding.

So the map is out.SpoilerLooks like quite a few paths...I like! I hope we can actually choose between two or so...knowing Pokemon and their likeness to put people in the way and lock you to one area only XP.
It's sort of open; you can wander a bit but not too much.
This game is seriously amazing so far. I have 2 badges so far.
My team:
Combusken- Lvl 31
Quilladin- Lvl 28
Wartortle- Lvl 28
I really don't like the skates much either. They fun, but they really should have been a key item like the bike. I miss running. Especially in this game, becuase they actually look good while walking/running. I know you can walk/run with the D-pad, but its so clunky and ugh....
(Love the character customization! I look so good. I just hate how I can't take the damn hats off!!)
Edit-- Does anyone know if you can flip the trainer card? .__.

So...I dumped Fennekin. Call me insane, but she seem weaker than all my other pokemon despite being a HIGHER FRIGGIN LEVEL than them.
I have one Badge so far.
My Team:
Moulder/Dunsparce - Level 17(My Dunsparce was level 13 when I dumped Fennekin.)
Poh/Pancham - Level 11
Kazooie/Doduo - Level 13
I'm trying to use an EXP share so I can get Pancham and Doduo up to Dunsparce's level. I'm not sure if they raised Dunsparce's stats or something, but for some reason, he's really good. ._.

Could just be that she's got bad IVs. I had this happen to me before and it annoyed me. And then I may or may not have used Pokegen to change those IVs. <_< >_>
Anyways, I picked up Y yesterday night, but haven't had time to play it yet. I'm torn on if I should just play through and catch whatever seems interesting, or intricately plan out my team beforehand. If the former, I'm going for Fennekin and Squirtle. If the latter... well, not sure yet. Hopefully I'll be able to start tonight once I get some homework done.

I found a way to run normally, guys! Just take out the Dowsing Machine; you can walk and run with the circle pad. It looks a bit silly, but it works! And you could find items. :3

I now have three badges and access to Mega Evolutions, whoo. Actually fairly enjoying it so far, the gyms are pretty creative (though the second was a bit tedious) and there seems to be a bit of shaken up gameplay. Or maybe it's rehashed from a gen I haven't played, I dunno, but I think it's fairly neat so far. According to a friend, it seems like you can go ahead to some towns without doing badges, but not always, so yay for a tiny bit of freedom? I kinda hope the cave systems get a bit larger and complex later on though; the two "major" ones I've been in were... well, I guess the one was just meant to be a maze, so somewhat excusable. The other was... alright I guess. Maybe I'm nitpicking too badly, but I miss larger cave systems. ![]()
Anyway, party so far:
Delphox - Level 36
Wartortle - Level 34
Pidgeotto - Level 34
Pancham - Level 31
Floette - Level 33
Pichu - Level 29
Pancham's actually kind of a little badass. May not have to evolve him after all, though I don't even know how you evolve him yet. Not that I don't like his second form, but like Pichu, he's too adorable for me to want to evolve. ![]()

My Team right now on Poke Y is:
Delphox - Lvl 36 (Fire/Psychic)
Krokorok - Lvl32 (Dark/Ground)
Honedge - Lvl33 (Steel/Ghost)
Yanma - Lvl 20 (Bug/Flying) [Planning to get Yanmega]
For my last two I may get Kingdra and Jigglypuff so I can get a Water/Dragon and Normal/Fairy. Who knows, I may end up getting another
Fairy. xD

Finally got some Eevees earlier, evolved one into a Sylveon and the other into a Flareon. Only downside atm is I haven't found the Move Rememberer yet, so they have kind of sucky moves. Also dumped Braixen (Fennekin line's second evolution) in the box as I don't plan on using it anymore as it's final evolution is still ugly to me.
Other than that, I've been taking my time. I turned off Exp Share as it breaks the game when it comes to levelling. I had 6 pokemon all higher than the levels of the 1st gym leader's pokemon when I got that badge, and only two I actually battled with beforehand. I kinda feel the Exp Share shouldn't have been in as it makes you kinda lazy in raising your team..
So, my team for now is: Raichu, Charmeleon, Sylveon, Flareon, Vivillon and HM Slave. Yeah, Rock/Ground pokemon can be a problem for my team, but whatever. I'm using the Pokemon I like still.

Okay, so I found out that all my friends went for Fennekin, save one, who got Froakie. So being practical, I picked Chespin. And then I found out there are Riolu in Route 22 and I spent way too damn long trying to find one. And I don't normally grind but I figured why not since I need to keep looking to find Riolu... so he got to 16 before I found one. So yeah. 3 hours in, first gym beaten.
Spins the Quilladin - level 17
Claus the Riolu - level 12
It's not too different from previous games, but I'm liking it so far. 3D could be a bit better (and work outside of battle), but oh well.
