My dad said the graphics look old. But I think they were pretty good for this game. Like they always say. Don't judge a book by its cover. I say don't judge a game by its look. Are you gonna use the DoR link in one of your next quests?

Nah. I'm thinking of using Newfirst Link for the Trinity Worlds series and maybe another tileset for other Zelda quests. I think more of them will be made from a personally customized tileset.

You have or you are an awesome character. It's funny how I beat you with a single potion. I wonder if you will be stronger or tougher in your next quests.

I kinda held back, so the player won't think I purposely put God-Mode on myself or something. icon_razz.gif But, I do promise to be stronger in future battles. As for appearing in Goriya Rebellion, I may need to be more careful, as the main character will definitely be weaker than Link.

This quest is really amazing. It is so... Zeldaish, its as if it was made by the same people who worked on all the early 2D Zeldas. Plus it's not too difficult. But at the moment I'm stuck.

I've just finished Level 5 but now I'm trapped in the Holy Chamber. I tried to return to the room with the Great Fairy but the doorway is blocked. The only other available path is right of the entrance but Link loses two hearts every time he makes a move across the tiles. I don't have any magic left so I can't use the Lens of Truth or the blue ring (from the fire level) to get across. Does this mean I can't get any further? Or am I missing something? Please don't tell me I've stumbled across some kind of glitch...

Ahh, the only drawback to the room: not having any way to restore your magic power. I'll mark the path here, but hopefully, no one uses it to skip ahead, not that they'll get anything from it, anyway.

Heh, my biggest ASCII Map EVER! icon_biggrin.gif

Anyway, the vertical lines are the doors. The X's are the damaging floors, the O's are the safe path, and the dashes are the walls. The @ symbol marks a lantern that blocks your way. Considering you have no magic, you'll have to work your way around this as best as you can. I'm hoping 2.5 will have a Magic-restoring flag similar to the Fairy flag, so restoring your magic would be easier.

Oh $#@! Another continue bug! What's worse is that it's a game-stopper. I'll go ahead and update the quest and (hopefully) kill off the last of the continue bugs.

UPDATE: Now that I've learned where the Continue Bugs most likely pop up, this will greatly help me avoid Continue Bugs in the future. I've placed spawn markers in front of the boss doors that don't already have spawn markers placed. That should get rid of most of the Continue Bugs.

Thanks so much for drawing up that ASCII map, it was a huge help. It must have taken ages to draw.

This quest just keeps on getting better and better. The story keeps the game moving, it's not too difficult to play through and the dungeons are very well planned - Level 6 especially, it was like a 2D Twilight Palace. I just beat Level 8 (i liked the AoL references) and now I'm weighing up which of the three extra dungeons to take on first.

One more thing though - the game kind of glitched up on me during the cutscene (the one with the Goriya) that came after getting the Triforce. It wouldn't move on to the next screen so i had to save and continue. when i started up again i had the triforce piece but i had to go back through the temple to the exit. was there another section in the sacred chamber taht i skipped?

Uh oh. That means you skipped the Silver Arrow and the Magic Book. The Magic Book doesn't serve an actual purpose, but the Silver Arrow is the only way to defeat Ganon, although he isn't the final boss. There is a Golden Arrow around, but you need the Magic Key to get it, and, well... long story short: I don't think you'll be able to get the Golden Arrow without the Silver one.

I keep saying that at the end of a text scene, move around a bit, because I have beta-tested that part and I have gotten through it. Oh well. icon_frown.gif

I'll have to remember that in future. I guess not having the silver arrow will make the extra dungeons unbeatable.

It took me forever but I finally managed to beat the the first form of Tremna - great fight by the way, and got to the bottom of the collapsing tower. I couldn't figure out how to beat the second form and died but by this stage I had no bombs left and I used all my magic up as well. Is this bit possible to beat if you don't have the spell book or any of the upgraded arrows? I'll probably give it another go a bit later but will stock up on bombs beforehand.

The Crystals in the final battle can be blown up by bombs. I suggest you stock up before attempting the final battle again. As for magic, don't worry about that. I supplied some magic at the end.
