DemonLink - The Forgotten Ruins:
Pros:
- Huge dungeon
- Lots of puzzles
- Great asthetics
- Well-designed progression
Cons:
- Difficulty felt all over the place. Although apparently a lot of people have already said this.
- Certain puzzles were annoying. Ed mentioned the platforms thing, but the Big Key puzzle felt the most annoying to me. Dying and having to go all the way back, only to mess up and die again got very tedious.
BigJoe - Skull of Fire and Ice:
Pros:
- Even with the very Zelda 1-esque style of the dungeon, it managed to feel creative with the Darknut statues and the overall puzzle of the dungeon.
- Enemy balance was actually pretty good. You didn't have to kill enemies that were more of a challenge (aformentioned Darknut statues) and could run away if need be. The enemies you DID have to kill presented their own challenge, but still felt balanced.
Cons:
- Pretty confusing navigation, although that might just be me.
- Item hunting if you run out of bombs can get tedious and halt progress altogether.
Joelmacool - Poisonous Sanctuary:
Pros:
- Good aesthetics
- Well designed difficulty
- Fantastic dungeon layout, especially with exploration in mind. (Stray Faries adding a whole new aspect to it as well)
Cons:
- Killing countless enemies just to get a few arrows back if you accidentally used them all.
RedTribeLink - Swamp Shrine:
Pros:
- Good aesthetics
- Interesting mechanics all around
- Puzzles and overall dungeon gimmick were good. I had to think a lot more for this one, and had to be a lot more observant.
Cons:
- Enemy choice is... strange. There's some enemies that show up once and then are never seen again.
- For some reason, this is the dungeon I died the most on. Not sure if that's actually a con.
grayswandir - Crystal Shrine:
Pros:
- The starting items were absolutely amazing, but that's not really the dungeon itself.
- Mechanics like the rock enemies that destroy the crystals were clearly taught and very well used all around.
- Just very creative altogether. Probably one of the most script heavy, along with Swamp Shrine, and that is fine.
Cons:
- Visuals were sometimes confusing, along with trying to figure out what the cape can and can't go over.
- While the mechanics are cool, accidentally killing the enemy, or dying, makes progress either impossible or much more tedious.
