@Spelunker: With 4-8 there's a passageway in the Boss room that leads to the top left. With 4-4 I don't remember atm. The Rings can really be anywhere still, whether overworld or in a dungeon.

I believe these are all the overworld main Item locations too. Whatever is listed next to them is what's required to get the item:

(The first sword is always within #1-3 on this list too)

Those locations were a great help.

I already found all overworld locations, but the dungeon entrances were really needed.

I even found the bow&arrow. I'm getting the hang of this!

Now to remember which dungeons I skipped because gohmaness...

However, I still don't know how to get to the hidden item of 5-4 (Pendant)... It's around the top left, but I don't find the warp that is supposed to take me there...

It seems that there is a decent amount of warps that you need to go back inside immediately upon arriving to go somewhere other than where you entered from. Confusing, yes? But good to know.

Some of these dungeons, man... I mean it's a bit intimidating, because they seriously cram all these hardcore super-dungeons into a thing that has both incredibly easy and incredibly insane dungeons in it, an you never quite know what you'll get as you're exploring. So you don't know if the quest is overall hard or overall easy.

... and that's one of the things that makes it so awesome.

...while at the same time becoming so powerful that the enemies can become the least of your problems. :P

^ Absolutely true. Even with the Red ring, the L3 Sword, and somehow a L2 Heart Ring, the Mirror Shield, and a boatload of bombs and SBombs (In Classic mode, no less) I felt super-powerful.

It was pretty darn awesome.

Been going round in circles trying to find the warps to the missing rooms. Help please.

This is the last dungeon I need to clear before going on to the level nines.

MeleeWiz, I would like to see you do an LP of this quest.

Search the entrance room.  A similar case was in 5-7 with stairs at the entrance.

Never would have thought to check the entrances. Now it's making me wonder how many dungeons have those stairs.

Also, did not find the magic key. I have to assume it's in one of the level 9 dungeons.

Found it, it was in level 1-9, had to by 10 keys to find it. LOL

I think only 5-7 and 5-8 have stairs at the beginning.

Yes, unless you change the default customization, magic key is in an x-9 level.  If you do change the default setting, it can be found in any random level.

Where's the boss key and 2nd hidden item in 4-9 Wizzrobe? I covered the whole map, save for the room behind the boss lock... I also don't remember where I found the 1st hidden item, maybe it was somewhere at top left...

I completed all, but 2-9, 4-9 and 5-9. I needed to skip 2-9 because still not having silver arrows... I hoped it would be randomized to 4-9 for me, but the first item wasn't it.

Well, that's just magnificent...

The "item" at the end of 4-9 was... Zelda! And since I didn't want to end my game, I needed to exit without actual item. Still no silver arrows. So I went in 5-9, but the two hidden items weren't for help (upgrades to the rarely used crystal breaker and the never used rupee vase) and the last item was Nayru's Love... Still no silver arrows.

So, I miss only the 4-9 2nd hidden item and the 2-9 last item. And I think the only items I miss are the silver arrows, golden arrows and magic key. Two nodes left, 3 items around... very confusing. Theoretically then the silver arrow is in my 4-9 and the magic key is at the end of 2-9 (I bought about 14 keys to be sure when I kept running into locked doors in 4-9).

So, I expected golden arrows, too, because I think I seen a gohma 4, and then I totally expected even higher level arrows, you know, because this quest has so extremely many item upgrades...

I found all items in the light world and missed just one expansion in the dark world (I don't know where).

I THINK I found all items in the 1-8 dungeons... I wasn't using the item number list early on.

Note, that's not the end of the game when you find Zelda in an x-9 level.

4-9:

item 1:  from start, go up 1, right 1, down 1 through wall, then right 2 through walls.  Take stairs, then more stairs, should end up at top of map.  Go right 1, down 1, then right 1 through wall.

item 2:  from start, go up 1, right 2 to stairs.  Then up 1.  Instead of taking stairs, go right through wall.  Continue going through walls until reach item.

No gohma 4 in Randomizer.  There is a gohma 3 in the ZELDA level.

If you have the upgraded cross, it should tell you how many items are in any level and in the overworld.  So may want to recheck every level to make sure you're not short an item in a level.

Holy moly...

Headdesk...

I decided to go for the Zelda room now that I know it wasn't the end, so I went in 3-9 and searched the treasure room for a whole hour... then I found it empty. That was when I realized that Zelda was in 4-9 for me. So I went there and looked up the item rooms... both empty! I check the counter in the first room... "02/02"!

I somehow gotten the 2nd item, but I don't know when! Still no magic key or silver arrows, so I don't actually know what I got there... (I don't see anything new in my inventories.)

Then I was like, I go into 4-9's Zelda room, maybe Zelda is the silver arrow or magic key... Then I found out what Zelda is, and believe me, it wasn't any "new" for me...

Here I am, having obtained all but one items, needing the silver arrow to obtain the last one and not having the silver arrow.

Last time I tried the other kind of bow on Ganon, but that didn't work, either.

I'm rweeeally cwonfused nwow!

So funny... I absolutely love this quest!

EDIT:

I suspect now the problem!

The script only shows hidden item number, it doesn't check if I got the treasure item!

With that knowledge, I deduced that maybe I left some gohma boss at a dungeon, so I kept checking my map completion and found that I didn't have the 3-4 treasure item. However, it was just some boots... Still no silver arrow...

EDIT2:

What do you know, I was missing the treasure in 2-5, too!

BUT it's still not the silver arrow, rather... L5 sword. Mamma mia. If I just knew that there were 5 (FIVE!!!!) sword nodes... I hope I finally can kill those blue wizzrobes in one hit now...

EDIT3:

FOUND IT!

Seems like I barely explored 3-3 so far... After seeing that I got the hidden item, I never checked further... This dungeon had a gohma guarding the boss key, figures.

All is set now.

Oh, what a crazy run!!!

I love it!!!
