Well, as I mentioned a few posts back, I actually am playing it on TTW, and the Fallout 3 half is still the buggiest, laggiest, and prone to occasional crashes... once or twice due to running out of memory, as you mentioned. It's honestly the worst around D.C. itself, because I imagine that wide spread of geography and objects is causing a strain. Everything's a lot more spaced out in the Mojave which is probably why that isn't much of a problem there.

Maybe I should look into Rare Replay collection for XBox One, and if I like B-K, then perhaps Y-L. Considering how much I love Battletoads this is definitely my platform of choice for Shovel Knight.

Try the demo first, if one is available. The Xbox360 ports of the Rareware games have awful analog stick sensitivity and considering how unique the N64 analog stick is it wouldn't surprise me if they still have the sensitivity completely wrong in the Xbox One ports (not even PC emulators can emulate the N64 analog stick sensitivity correctly for Xbox360 etc. gamepads).
The same applies to the Gamecube controller's analog stick, the way it responds to movement doesn't match how other analog sticks behave, making it difficult to replicate sensitivity that is somewhat similar to the original analog stick.
Iirc PCSX2 is getting updates to its input plugin to allow better customization of the deadzone (I think you can adjust the shape of the deadzone now) so that you can better recreate the original Playstation analog stick behaviour with non-Playstation controllers.

Sorry, must have missed that part. My computer is running Windows 10, with 8 GB of RAM, and I haven't had any major issues. I had the game crash once or twice, but I've been playing for hours. I've only been doing the main quest when I actually run out of side-quests to do on my Pip-Boy.
Two things that I want to ask. 1: Did you remember to install the hotfix files and everything? There's an "optional files" mod that gives you a list of things to tweak with an installer-style interface. There's a "TTW Bugfix Patch", but the current directions state not to use it and that it's outdated. You also do NOT use the standard Unofficial Patches off NexusMods.
2: Are you playing with any other mods active? I can think of a couple that would cause problems, and I had a few game-breaking bugs come up that went away after deactivating mods that didn't seem like they would have had anything to do with it. For instance, turning off the "TTW Startup Menu" mod (menu to pick to start in NV instead of FO3) fixed the game refusing to load at all. Turning off a Dynamic Camera mod fixed an issue where I'd fall through the floor of Moira's shop and descend through the endless abyss.
I'm not saying for sure that I can fix your game, but maybe you made one of the same mistakes that I did in setting everything up.

So I'm not gonna touch them until I'm at least done with the Fallout 3 half of TTW—wanna be optimistic and say after my entire playthrough but I'm never gonna be done playing this game at this rate—but there's currently a Fallout sale and the first two games (along with Tactics) were $5 together in a bundle, decided I'd snap them up and

... whoops, realized I didn't answer your questions Kurt. That was accidental. Yes, I got all the patches. Fallout 3 is just that buggy I suppose.
Unrelated, feeling nostalgic and curious thanks to Sonic Mania, I dug out my Genesis, hooked it up, and played through Sonic 1. It's still a good game, but I did notice a bit of wonky physics that weren't as prevalent in the past. I also noticed that, despite having an awesome song, Spring Yard Zone is incredibly bland. And I definitely noticed that Labyrinth Zone still sucks. A lot. Maybe it's the physics in the levels, which are legitimately awful. I wonder if I wouldn't mind it as much if I could actually have some semblance of control over my character. And if they didn't throw me back into it later for no reason when Scrap Brain Zone was a much better (if not evil) zone. That "Act 4" is even worse, since there were moments where I found myself hit by things I couldn't see coming. At least it was short.
Overall I enjoy the game, but Labyrinth Zone is enough to suck the fun right out of it all.

The "Act 4" of Labyrinth Zone isn't too bad. If I recall correctly, if you hurry, you can get ahead of the moving platform near the beginning, and slip into an extra route that's blocked off when the platform reaches its destination. That route is a shortcut that essentially skips the entire level and drops you off near the exit.

That's actually what I did, when I died early on and realized there might've been a path down there. ... it was actually longer if I skipped that? Man, I'd have hated to figure that out the hard way.

If said content is long, aggravating, and poorly-designed, yes.

To clarify, you can't breathe underwater in the Sonic games. You have to hurry to these little bubble clusters, and wait for it to spawn a large bubble that can replenish your air.
Scrap Brain Zone - Act 3 is a mostly-underwater level, but the bubbles are spaced out to the absolute limit of how long Sonic can hold his breath. Further, these bubbles are not on a pre-determined timer, and there's a layer of randomness added to when the breathable bubbles are spawned. It's fairly common to rush from one bubble cluster to the next, making no mistakes and getting there as fast as possible, only for the bubble to refuse to spawn until after you've drowned. Additionally, this is the absolute final level before the final boss of the game, so losing here means losing the largest amount of progress possible, and you'd have to replay the ENTIRE game to return to this point.
This is the only level to have this particular problem. The previous water levels are more sanely designed. The developers also learned from their mistakes in designing this level, and none of the future games have the same issue.

The boss climb at the end of labyrinth is what always gave me trouble. The water shield is indeed a blessing.
Some bosses in Sonic Mania can't even damage you if you have the electric/magnetic shield.

Started playing through Left 4 Dead (co-op mode) with my brother on XBox One. Of course I hated having to make a microsoft e-mail account, password and profile before we could begin.
With the original Nintendo you just popped the game in, turned it on and pressed start. No bullshit.
And it's insane that you have to save the game to the cloud, not on your console.

my only 2 things i don't like in the 4° zone are :
- is more hard than the 5°
- is very hard keep 50 rings until the end of acts
I don't think is so hard to ruin the game, the previous zones let you gain a lot of lives and "continue", so even if i lose few lives...is OK, i can overcome it
Just a question, since it was long time you don't play, you was able to take all the emerealds in this play ?

Nah, I did alright at the stages I got to, but since there's really no incentive to get the emeralds in the first game I wasn't too bothered when I couldn't get them all. No Super Sonic, a minor change in the ending, I don't really care. Sonic 2 at least has the Super Sonic incentive, but its special stages are garbage. Which leads me to...
Yeah, I replayed Sonic 2 yesterday. I'm getting through the Genesis games and CD, but decided to hold off on the last games until I finish Mania again with all emeralds. Sonic 2 is still a really good game with no real pitfalls other than the one in Mystic Cave Zone. Metropolis Act 3 is really annoying with at least two striking instances of bad enemy placement, though the first two acts weren't as bad as I remember. It's also very satisfying to beat simply because the last couple acts up the difficulty a touch, particularly the ringless final boss (which is the only thing that makes it difficult admittedly but it gets your adrenaline going). Also it still has my favorite ending in a Sonic game but that may also be because the theme composed for it is so beautiful.
But as I mentioned above... I hate the special stages. It's not even because Tails often bungles them (that's part of it), but because there's so many instances of shit you just literally can't see coming. It's not a draw distance thing, it's objects coming literally from around the corner that you can't react to until it's too late. The android port of the game made them visually much better but that didn't save the gameplay; for the record, this recent playthrough was on Genesis. Future halfpipe stages were done better, but overall I'm not a fan of that style of special stage.
