You need some kind of transitional border between the bottom of your mountains and the water. Right now, it looks like they don't touch each other.

Lynker, I like the design in the shots a lot, but the sky tiles look very flat. When I see it, it looks almost like a carpet to me. Maybe adding some shadows that the dungeon would cast onto the clouds or if that is too complicated, just add more shading to them. This dungeon looks cool and your quest is very impressive looking. I'm looking forward to its completion.

Introducing Selhera Village GB style!

Not to be too mean, but I've really seen enough of Selhera Village. I've seen it a ton of times, in a ton of different tilesets, and I'm really bored of it.

Now, onto the actual screen: those greens need to be tuned down a shade. The color they are right now hurts my eyes. As for the design, I've commented on it several times already. I don't believe I will be doing it again.

@Yoshidude: I've already have enough of Selhera Village. Aside from that, it's Cset too bright and there is simply not enough colour variety. Don't use the Labrynna OW present pallet, it sears the eyes.

Guys -.- If he wants to post his Selhera Village another hundred times, what's the deal? Given, it is a bit boring by now but he's not posting to entertain us but to get some feedback and constructive critques.
It's a pretty solid GB screen, Yoshi. Other than the issue with the bright palette and the wrong Csets on the sprites, I can't find anything to complain about. Fix those and you have a nice GB screen there. I'd also add some detail to the "dirt" next to the grass, it's a little bland as is.

Would you mind trying this, Yoshidude?

IPB Image

Pretty much I opened it in Gale and played with the greens until I was happy, and changed some other colors too. Other than that, I really like the screen.

I think the GB tileset is the tileset for you Yoshidude based on your Selhera Village screenshot.

I think it's safe to say that the GB set is the tileset for you Yoshidude. So rather than make the village in another set, finish the quest up in that set. You got potential, you've shown us what you can do when you put your mind to it, now go make a game!

So, I've been experimenting with the DoR tileset for a while and I came up with a screen I like and I wan't your guys opinion on it.
It's just a simple village screen, but I think it's pretty good.

Here is the image.

The layer detail is a little much, I was just seeing if it would look good.
I'm trying to make a Minish cap styled quest with Dor so I'm trying to be as close as I can to as detailed.
But this screen is a bit held back since it's just a village shot.

So, what do you guys think?

Looks VERY good!
But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't put that bush there in front of road at the bottom. It looks so cheesy, and it doesn't make sense. If people come and go out and in the village, then I don't think a bush would grow, and I don't think the townsfolk would want it there.

Very nice! Can't complain about anything, honestly.

Yoshidude, that looks very good. You're doing great with the GB Tileset, but there is just one (two maybe) problem. The bush at the upper left path and the bush are the lower right path. If you walk in, you have to slash the bush with your sword which would be just weird. Remove those and you are fine honestly.
