[Alestance]

Alestance hasn't heard of the Watchmen, and would like to hear more. (and as you may know, I will only be referring to myself in third person in Off the Beaten Path )

Russ is getting very annoyed by Alestance's use of third person. Russ would be very grateful if Alestance would keep it to the spam thread.

Maybe I should just start talking in Latin. I doubt many people can understand that.

I was understanding it until then. I can't translate a lot of those words. However, piecing that together, I get:

Russ understands Spanish! Very good, very good.. ?.. Yes? Or no?

Care to tell me what that part I can't translate is?

¡Orale! means something like "Awesome!" in Spanish.
"Entonces supongo que puedes leer esto y entenderlo" translates to "Then (I) suppose that (you) can read this and understand (it)".

And to be honest, I didn't know much latin either...

Ya, I really only know very basic Spanish (such as counting, days, months, etc.). I was able to understand most of it just because it's so similar to Latin. I can look at a word and say, "Oh, this is almost the same as this Latin word, so I guess it means this." And for the words I don't know, I can reason through and guess what they mean based off the context.

From what I see, the "to be" verbs are just as convoluted in Spanish as they are in Latin.
