Edit: But I'll admit, I lol'd. I thought Agahnim's sprite looked odd as I thought his hat was his head and the pink dot was his eye. I thought his actual face was just apart of his robe lol.

Does this 3-minute coloring job in Paint help show it any? I know I'm not crazy. (says the guy who just took the time to color in Link driving a car in the desert, upload it to Photobucket, and posted it online all just to show an imaginary car...)

Don't tell me you're not at the slightest bit intrigued at the thought of Link driving the Mach 5.

Play my quest I Am Bored and use the whistle; a taxi cab will come pick you up and drive you somewhere else.

These show off the swamp area, snowy area, desert, and a few other miscellaneous locales on the overworld.
I realize 18 screens is a lot to expect someone to critique, but I wanted to show these off, and the quest's thread is old and buried*. The 9th screen may or may not keep the black background. For a "dark world" final area, I was going to keep it black with occasional red flashes (See 2nd Agahnim battle in ALttP). I figure this is also more consistent wth NES style.
This is not the same quest I posted with the NES LttP tiles in it. That was something else, which is not dead either, but I'm not working on it actively right now.
* I may or may not bump the development thread. Frankly, I don't like making those types of threads cause I usually take long breaks from time to time, and they get buried. Either way, I am working on something.

Numbers 10 and 11 both have that same mountain range in the background, but they don't seem to tile very well. I'd try to fix that as well.
14 has that giant tree, but it looks too smooth. I actually think it would look best if it was a bit more pixel-y.
Still, all minor nit-picks. Other than those, the pictures look rather nice.

Picture #4 has the catfish clash with everything else. Is it required for the theme, or can you edit/replace it with something that matches Classic?
Nah, I probably won't be changing it, unless something exponentially better just falls into my lap. I don't mind the "clash" that everyone talks about, and I have bigger fish to fry.

Actually, it'd make more sense if the screens position's were switched, cause 11 goes right to 10. They use different backgrounds as well, you can tell cause the water starts one tile higher in 11. I actually just noticed that myself >.> These backgrounds were all drawn on layer 0, and those screens (especially the waterfall area, jeez, I felt like I was drawing a DoR screen) use more layers than most classic endeavors, so changing small things like that at this point is prolly not gonna happen, cause again, it is minor, and only really noticeable during scrolling.

I like the smoothness. I tried having it look pixely at first, but I dunno, it looks bad in fullscreen.

Thanks
