I'll be using 8-bit music hopefully, the whole quest idea is still being fleshed out though. This quest might not even be in sideview, but the graphical style will stay, I think it looks good and gives the quest personaility. Not to mention it makes it really easy for me to create custom tiles. icon_biggrin.gif

Like Shane said, that wooden fence stood out the most. otherwise I'd suggest maybe a different more twilight looking palette.

As for the dungeon screen I don't like how the borders are used, specially around the chest. The ends look like cutoff. icon_frown.gif Other then that nothing seem wrong!

I'd say remove / replace those particular cave tiles because they look awkward. I never really use them. I did once in the descendent lands tileset but never went anywhere with it. lol

1. Try adding small patches of color, like one living tree.
2. Add something crazy and unique. I don't know what.

I like those Mountain tiles it looks like you can jump down, did you make those yourself? Great looking screen by the way, nothing stands out more then it should. It all blends well.

Edit: Those trees could probably be a tiny bit darker in color. Though I don't know how tedious that'd be for you, I've been rom hacking lately and finding it not very hard to alter palettes. if you can easily do it I'd suggest that. otherwise things are fine as is.

And I'd edit the colors if this were a real quest. But it's just a little screen for fun (And skill). icon_razz.gif
