By the by, in case anyone was hoping for No Guard Machamp with Fissure, Pokemon transferred from RBY get their hidden ability instead. (Which for Machamp, is Guts, so yeahhhhh...)

 

C'mon, would anyone really want that? It might sound great at first, but it'd get old real fast when everyone's got a team of them.

Huh, Kanto Pokemon have Alolan children in S/M. Guess you can't breed Kanto forms

You can. You just need to have the Kanto parent hold an everstone.

So kind of a dumb question, but where are you supposed to level grind Pre-E4? I just got there, saved before going in and my team is quite a bit underleveled being low 50s and the first E4 already having mid 50s.

 

All I see in terms of Wild pokemon are like Lv40s which barely give any experience even with the dumb Exp. Share turned on in the Poni Canyon area. I tried grinding in the area right before the E4, but all I were finding were Snorunts and Sneasels that gave next to no Exp.

The megas stones of Abomasnow, Aggron, Altaria, Ampharos, Audino, Banette, Beedrill. Hoenn Starters, Camerupt, Diancie, Gallade, Gardevoir, Heracross, Houndoom, Latios/Latios, Lopunny, Manectric, Mawile, Medicham, Mewtwo Y and X, Pidgeot, Steelix and Tyranitar are currently unobtainable.

 

Most of the ORAS megas stones and a few from XY. are currently not obtainable without cheating. 

 

Why does this reek of: "Buy our next game if you want the all these megas stones."?

Don't grind then. You are at a level where you are more than capable of taking on the E4; even with the level disadvantage.
Oh, and don't forget to pack some X-boosting items if you are having issues with them. That should help, as they boost a stat by +2 instead of +1 now

Got wrecked by the fighting E4 member, so yeah grinding a bit. Lunala is surprisingly useless so I may have to drop it and get a Sylveon or something. 4x Ghost and 4x Dark weaknesses on top of Decidueye (whom may be dropped for Leafeon), Raichu and Espeon on my team doesn't really help in type coverage. (I thought Alolan Raichu was Half-Fairy hence Espeon and not Sylveon. Mistake on my part I guess.)

So instead of having every single mega stone in the game at release, they decide to remove half of them to give them as prizes in competitions. Seriously, some Gamefreak's decisions in this generation just baffles my mind on so many levels.

They did not include the stones for the mega evolutions of the pokemon that you could not get in the regional dex. They would be completely useless prior to Pokebank and there would be little point including them at that point. I also doubt that they could just include the rest of the stones in the game when you acquire the National Dex, as it probably wouldn't make sense from some weird Japanese standpoint.

That makes no sense whatsoever. You can get the Kanto starters mega stones and yet they are not in the regional dex. You coudn't even get Venusaur and Blastoise and the only way to get a Charizard was through some QR crap.

 

That's just a terrible excuse to have the missing mega stones be hand outs in the competition entries. It's like they couldn't come up with an actual prize and instead decided to remove half of the mega stones and give them as prizes instead. 

 

 

ORAS didn't had some pokemon that got megas in XY and yet their mega stone is in the game still. What's Sun and Moon's excuse for that?

 

Even if they knew the mega stones would be useless, they knew about Pokebank. So why not have all the mega stones in the game at release, just ready for when people transfer their pokemon. Now we have to wait months just to get the rest of them.

I find some of the stones not being currently available annoying as well, and many of us won't be able to participate in competitions. In these cases I feel it is appropriate and justified to use action replay to get them.

Not being able to get exclusives does suck, but that's kind of the point. I'd much prefer it if everyone got the same available content for their purchase of their game, but Pokemon hasn't been that way since the first event that gave out Mew.

Just finished the game, by completing the

Ultra Beast Missions and beating the Pokemon League again.

 

Final Team Levels were 70-74.

 

Final Thoughts that occurred during the last parts of the game:
