Damn, that looks really sweet! I don't mind the palette tbh, it doesn't change the way I think of the map,
Good job!

I recommend that you download the map for better viewing.
If anyone would be so kind as to fix my subtly headache-inducing palette, I would not be able to thank him enough. The only parameter is that it have a calming nighttime atmosphere.
i'm loving the castle walls! my only complaint is that those castle walls are too close to the beach, but I think Im being too realistic.
The mountains are very pretty, wonderful transition use.

Nice huge Classic dungeon, mao10. I really like the coral colors too. Astromeow's looks really interesting, but it is kind of too small to tell what is going on, but that's cool if you are trying to avoid spoilers
Also, dat OoT Map. What is that from? Is it just something someone made in an image editor or something?
This is quiet old, almost 6 years in fact. I was playing through my first project started in 2.10, and I opened it up and took this map. This was the last time I touched it, and before that, this was started in 2005.

I can't believe I skimmed over yours, Geoffrey. That looks pretty sharp. It reminds me of one of my favorite state parks.

Here's another one from that quest. Why did I stop working on this? It is the farthest along I've ever had a project.

Thank you, Anthus.
I really enjoy what you are sharing, particularly what appears to be a sidescrolling area in that last map. It intrigues me.

I love these classic maps. Glad to see at least one person this day and age using classic in a stunning way.

Man those classic maps are beautiful! Especially the forest ones!

Here's part of "Half" finished classic map, that I worked on while I was eating dinner. I have to say classic is so easy to pump out half a map under an hour.

I've got to go over the whole map once its done which will most likely be in the morning and and add some decoration to the areas.
Edit: Updated the map with current work.

Benji your map is damn impressive! Very true to the original style of Zelda, good stuff.
And here is my take on the original Zelda. BECAUSE LINK NEEDS TO FIRE GUNS. Furnishings coming.

you see it won't make sense, but works. dungeons exist, but do not have to be a specific interior or exterior. IN fact overworld and dungeons are interlaced with overworld/interior design.
no logic is best logic

Thanks! It means lot to me and being true to the original game is my goal. ![]()
Anyways update on the map: FINISHED... kinda?

Still got some work on it to do but the layout and design is completed. ![]()

Astromeow: I like the revision of Z1 in that tileset. And yeah it makes no sense but still looks good!
Benji: What nostalgia of Z1 I'm seeing here... boy oh boy. This is inspiring me to make a Z1-style quest again...
