Link didn't look too feminine in Ocarina of Time, especially the original version.

Why is Team Fortress 2 better than Team Fortress Classic? It's not just balance improvements and better level design. The cartoonism in Team Fortress 2 breathes life into the classes. The characters have personality. You don't really forget about nope.avi or GENTLEMEN or any of the amazing Heavy quotes.

This is also why TF2 is one of the few FPS games that I like. I don't mind realistic or cel-shaded graphic that much, I feel like OoT3D and Skyward Sword really captured how a Zelda game should look, a combination of both.

About Link's lips:

In case you didn't notice, Link had pretty pronounced lips in TP, too.

Edit: Here's a little reminder.

IPB Image

Oh, I know. But that's not to say it didn't bother me in TP as well. icon_razz.gif It was just something I was sort of hoping they would tone down. Ah, well.

I'm assuming this was directed at me since I made the lip comment. If not, I apologize. Hahah.

Since I just found it, and it hasn't been posted yet, I guess I'll be the one to post it. Eiji Aonuma has revealed that this game's main musical instrument is a harp. With the same design as Sheik's harp from OoT. Here's a quote from Aonuma about the harp:

"The harp is sort of the central instrument hat you'll see this time. With a lot of previous Zelda games it has been about inputting specific notes to compose things. Given the nature of what a harp is, and the fact that it's an instrument that one strums, this time we're using the Wii MotionPlus to really make it based on the rhythm of strumming to get across the musical element."

While it is known that the design of the harp is the same as Sheik's, I'm not sure if it is the exact same harp Sheik has in OoT. The way the article was worded, it could go either way.

He didn't look too feminine in OoT?... Ummmm. I'm not so sure about that. While it's true he BEHAVED in a pretty badass way, and had a manly voice (if not terribly deep), he had a narrow waist, a slender face, and earrings. (Also no visible body hair below the chin, but that's practically standard in anime-style art, so it's not worth mentioning.)

Yeah, I guess so. If it makes you feel better, it's usually pretty difficult to notice from normal camera distance. Link's lips may be pronounced, but they're not red.

And yeah, it was directed at you, but I didn't want to dig up the post, and I thought more than one person commented on it. icon_smile.gif

All I can think to say is:

Kickass. Everything about that Aonuma quote is kickass.

I hope they handle the motion well, though. Innovation with the musical instrument is fine, but I wasn't crazy about how Wind Waker did it.

Yeah, the only part about what Aonuma said that I don't like is "based on the rhythym of strumming". Which, ironically, is the most important part. The thing I really loved about playing the Ocarina in OoT and MM was mashing the buttons as quick as you could and still getting the song right. I guess I won't be able to do that anymore. icon_frown.gif

I don't really like the graphics, they seem more cartoony than Wind Waker, however Wind Waker used the cartoony graphics well. But this game looks like a Zelda that they are trying to get down to be in the story-line, isn't it that this is a prequel to Ocarina of Time, someone told me that not sure if they were telling me some porky-pies. Although, if they can make the gameplay good, I am willing to let the Waybuloo graphics go. xD When are they releasing it also, bout' time they give us a release date huh?

I believe it's currently listed as having a "Holiday 2011" release, yes. I thought I read somewhere that the game's pretty much complete, they're just working on minor things within it now, but I can't remember where I read that. Plus, I personally think the graphics style is neat. icon_shrug.gif

The Satellite: Well that's your opinion, I respect that. I just would've prefered OOT, Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess, people may disagree. I respect their opinion.

So i read this is the longest Zelda game to date, that even Shigeru and Iwata (I think) haven't finished it yet.
I wonder how many dungeons it'll have? What will we collect when we are forging the Master Sword?

Just remember guys, this IS Ocarina of Time. Once you finish and play this, Ocarina of Time will NEVER be the same. just remember that.

....I'm not too sure I'm ready for my childhood memory to be changed! :\

No it's not. It's Skyward Sword. Ocarina of Time is this other game that came out many years ago on the Nintendo 64, which is in fact a different system than the Wii.

I don't really see how that will "change" Ocarina of Time, but okay o.O

Sorry, I didn't word it right. I meant this is the game that will change OoT.
And I meant change OoT, by how we all think about it. I mean, the spirit, (Phi) forging the sword, and what happens in between!

I don't see how that can change the game though. It'll change your perception of certain elements inside the game, sure, most notably the sword itself, but I highly doubt that's gonna change the game itself. If they managed to change a previous installment in their franchise by releasing a new game they must have some sort of god-programmer-dude who knows how to magically update code on an ages-old game icon_razz.gif
