But they're both DS games; why not just let them trade and fight like in the Gen 1 - Gen 2 system?

I have a feeling these games will have some exclusive features for the Nintendo 3DS. I am just as excited as you Koh! I really can't wait to experience all these new features.

I don't see why it would. Just like the Wii added no special features to GCN games, why would the 3DS add any special features to a DS game?

I'm with TS, I seriously doubt it'll do anything special on the 3DS.

So, do you think the Elite Four/Champion are on that island right in the middle of Isshu, or is that too obvious? Also, anybody able tell if Isshu is based off a real life place? I can't see any resemblance...

See the town at the middle top? I think they are at the top of that cliffy place to the right (the cliff's caves could be Victory Road). At the top left, I think that's a tower, so that could be the Battle Frontier...or just some new tower . I think the middle place (since we've not seen anything in the shots) would be a place like Amity Square in D/P/Pt, where you can have your PKMN follow you around. I hope they didn't really drop that feature as an automatic thing.

I'm thinking that the Elite 4 is something optional in this game, and that the center area thing you're talking about it the Pokemon League. As in, the tournament thing that Ash won because he sucks. Alas, t's just a theory, based on the fact we were told these games would be VERY different.

That. Was. Epic. Did you see the way the trainer now throws the Pokéballs into the battle field, and the way the Pokémon now come out of them? $10 says ALL opposing trainers animate now, and also throw their Pokéballs, instead of leaving them on the ground. It's too bad they didn't do all this with HeartGold and SoulSilver...I want another remake NAO!

Wow, that was neat. I especially love the 3D affects with the bridge. The way the camera zooms in and out is awesome. The trainer throwing in was nice, but not necessary. Just nice. So since they showed the bug gym, think it'll be the first gym this time around?
