I'm still stranded doing the goron city and that part of enigma castle (despite so other many quest I' m playing)
I don't make any map of my walking, and this don't have an over world map - so I get lost to easy!! icon_blink.gif

I went back and checked...both chests where the medallions were are empty...I got them...I can only stand on the monument steps, I cannot get on the top platform floor.

This is pretty much a game-ending situation; isn't there supposed to be a warp at that monument?

Yeah, there really should be. Hold up for a few minutes. I'm about to release a test version real quick.

I've placed the word "test" on the screen. Please tell me how many "test" words you see on the last screen you can get to.

It uses three different Dmaps and three different screens, the first two of which depend on which ones medallions you've gotten. I'll try to determine where the error is.

I've messed around with the way the warps work, and hopefully it'll be a bit less obfuscated this time. You actually stop walking to the right of the pedestal, but the walkway should be clear regardless. I hope.


DO NOT Download. FYI, DO NOT DOWNLOAD if you do not want the Mirror cave/dungeon to be messed up. Wait for the next version!

I made the room with both medallions rekillable, so we'll see if we can retrigger them again. Just slash the bush in front of each chest that had the medallion. It will have a Fire enemy somewhere that will trigger the boss flag I was talking about earlier that should trigger the .. well, trigger in the pedestal room to remove the unwalkable floor.

This is all screwed up...going back into Mirrors, thru the bombed room to the boss - puts you in the B1 rooms!!! Can't get to the boss and the medallion chest

This is a mess...BTW there were 2 test words. I don't think you want people to download this latest rendition...

Good to know, 'bout the two test words. But you couldn't get past the right side of the screen, right?

Yeah, I'm still messing with some Dmap stuff. There are a LOT of scrolling warps I need to fix, considering that there are 5 different Dmaps spanning the same map, and they all occupy different spaces. It's hard, because not only do I have to calculate scroll warps, but tile warps as well in accordance to where they dump us. With ZQuest freezing every couple of screens, it's no easy chore. It's the hardest thing I've done so far, but rest assured, I'll fix it all.

Look forward to the next version Wednesday night.

Correct..stopped me in my tracks on the right side. I would take that last download off the board...really has Mirrors "frenched -up"

How do you get on the roof in twilight gardens to get the heart piece?? ( I know how to get the " prize" of Vines; is there another way to get on the roof??) Has anyone discovered a way to get in the four rooms that show on the map in Vines but have doors that won't open??

Yeah, don't download the latest version up there. It's a proverbial deathtrap of whimsy and horror. icon_blink.gif In an effort to correct the Dmap offset issues, I slid the position of one of the Dmaps to the other side of its 16x8 grid, hoping to eliminate those "can't move to the right" bugs, but of course it offset all the warps in that range too. (I knew it would, but I did it anyway. -.- Couldn't resist.)

It's because ZQuest crashes so much in this version and takes up A F*CKTON of RAM, constantly doing things... It's not healthy to have this version of ZQuest open.

I should really make a trial run of DoY in ZC 2.5 We'll see how well it runs then. Because if it runs perfectly, without any bugs, WE'RE UPGRADING. icon_blah.gif

No, no, don't fear this... There's nothing to fear at all. It's perfectly harmless. Definitely much less harmless than this build 183. Far fewer bugs. More stable ZC Player. Easier movement on conveyor belts. Ya hear me? icon_razz.gif Plus I can adjust the difficulty on just about anything.

When the Vines dungeon is dried up after beating the boss, the flowers that spit fire will be slashable instead. Then you can pass.

Anyway, here's a new version, which, hopefully, (And oh lordie I do mean hopefully...) has all the bugs fixed. Artistic, the bugs you posted (Thanks again for those, by the way.) regarding the various errors in the Cave of Mirrors were due to Dmap oddities. In Overworld type maps, doorways respond oddly. I might still have some overhead bugs to fix, but I did fix at least most of the Dmap-related errors that I could see, and corrected a whole mess of warps.

Oh, also, that HCP on the roof of Vines, to the left of the Medallion, is accessible from a room in the Northwest of the Vines place.

If possible, try to recollect both Medallions. Both have renewing invisible fire enemies on the bushes in front of the chest, so the triggers ought to be retriggerable. Definitely try it again.

New version uploading in a bit. I just couldn't wait. icon_heh.gif

That is correct about the flowers drying up...as a matter of fact icon_smile.gif , that is the way to the medallion which can onlye be accessed when you beat the Mother Plant or whatever its name is...

(Shadow...at work now (for only 13 more days, then retirement- yeah baby) will test it out as soon a I get home icon_thumbsup.gif

Where is this room that leads to the heart piece on the roof?? You said previously in the NW of Vines....can't find it; however there is a room that won't open to 2 rooms in the lower NW area.

But seriously guys, think about letting us all upgrade to 2.5 for DoY. It'll smoothen out so many issues.

In the 'Mirrors' going right in those two places work great. Those two bombable top walls I had to bomb again and after I couldn't walk though them. Then I went and got the bomb upgrade from the bee and came back and I could walk through the holes in both rooms. Go figure! icon_biggrin.gif

When taking the stairs from F2 back to F1 you get stuck here when coming out of the stairs. You can F6 Continue and get unstuck and start on that screen. icon_thumbsup.gif

Can't move the 4 blocks to get to the gold block so it can be pushed to the gold spot to open the door.

The top door won't open. I believe this is the way to that heart on the roof.

Got stuck in this room couldn't go out the top door or bottom door. Couldn't get to them.

I just can't seem to get across here in this room . Keep falling in the bottom right corner area.

Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif Your doing a great job. What you have done to the other rooms with conveyors is great.

About using 2.5 it would be great but I don't think you can put your save from 1.92 183 player into a 2.5 player. So all our progress would be lost and we would have to start over. At least that has been my experience. And if we can't then no I don't want to start from the beginning.

EDIT: I did it! icon_biggrin.gif I got across that room in the bottom picture using the slo mo trick. It took me about 4 tries doing it that way but many more trying to just cross over to the door. But the putting the medallions on the alter still doesn't work. You can't walk down any farther then where I'm standing. And as you can see there are the 2 words 'Test'. I'm using the last update in Post #414.

I was afraid that was the room that led to the roof for the HPC
