You could always stretch the shoreline out to another screen, then you got more room for the sceeen and rafting.

Here's a shot from the starting village of THP. Supindahood made us some more fitting houses, considering the recent changes we've been making to the game. Look familiar, anyone?

That's a nice screen, Jay, and that palette is just popping. It reminds me of Joe's old stuff from AkttH (I think it might be the same palette, actually), and it's nice to see something using it again. I think the screen would be better off if you gave the rivers a few more curves, though.

Really awesome stuff man, really awesome. I'm interested in seeing what direction the new THP will take, so far it's looking good!
Is that very top edge walkable? If it is it would be very annoying for players because its only 1 tile in width.

Thanks I'm glad it approves ! I will add more curves it does look a bit to straight I suppose, that screen looks outstanding the custom GB advance type set being created there is excellent.

I got that same feeling. The houses look like Hobbit holes. That's pretty awesome!
Here's a screen from my field map that's still in progress. It's nothing special, but I think it looks pretty good. But I would like your guys opinions on it.

So what do you guys think? Anything that can be improved?

The grass is a little too bright and yellow-ish, looks like dead grass kinda, and the tall grass looks washed out in my opinion. But I like the design.
EDIT: Here is Giggidy's recoloured version of the tMC tall grass for DoR.

A screen to share from the same project mention in the maps section, thoughts ?

I love it! Probably the best screen I've seen from you. Not much else to say.

Wow...that's all I can say! Good flow. Nice colors. Very village feeling. Although, the top of the stairs end abruptly. I think you should fix it a bit. Then it will all be perfect!
Edit- You used the dirt tile at the bottom of the stairs instead of the grass. Fix that too
The brown AND gray chimney looks a bit weird, I admit.

I love the colors! The design is a bit random, however. The grass is recolored wrong and there are better MC treetops that were recolored that you can use. Look for a thread I made somewhere in the Developers Exchange. It's in there somewhere!
Also, the flowers look disgusting. Pick a different palette, maybe?

Thanks! But the grass tiles I'm using there are the same tiles you gave me. I agree that they are too bright. But I don't really mind that right now. I'll probably recolor them later, but it's not a priority at the moment.

I think the bases of the tall grass are miscoloured. Maybe it's just me seeing things though.
Yeah, I think that's the problem. I'll fix that right now. Thanks for pointing that out!
Here's the edit. I think it's already an huge improvement.

I was also thinking that the design was kinda random while making the screen, but also thought that it wasn't to big of a problem. Nature doesn't have rules on design. Things just occur naturally. It's hard to depict that with 32-bit graphics, but I try to have my own natural style.
Also, I forgot that I recolored the grass to make it brighter because it just looked horrible in the palettes I was using. The tree tops have been a problem for a long time. I just started ignoring it. But I can't keep ignoring it if it's truly a problem. (A very small problem but still)
And I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about with the flowers. Literally no idea. I don't think it's the palette. Please explain.
