I think I like the new one better. The water looks... more real, less washed out, if that makes any sense.

I completely understand what you are saying Russ. icon_smile.gif Looks like we have a winning palette! icon_biggrin.gif I am hopefully going to start up making palettes again. My new computer has a better screen than my old one, so all the colors look so much clearer. icon_smile.gif

Also, I forgot to add, anyone can use my palettes. I give them freely. icon_smile.gif

I, too, prefer the new palette for that screen. The saturation gives the scene a more tropical feel, or something. It's livelier.

The new one is perfect, but I'm not too fond of the layout.

Not that you need another opinion, but I also agree that the new palette is better. And I think the screen layout's fine, myself.

I understand. This is a remake of Isle of the Winds. The reason I am keeping my space usage to a certain constraint is because of the raft paths that DarkFlameWolf used. It makes keeping the screen balanced a pain. :/ I'll post better screenshots using the palette that are not from that game's remake.

The palette is perfect Chris. I could see a real tropical island with those colors. And I love the new direction you're going with. PR definitely fits a lot better than DoR.

Keep it up icon_thumbsup.gif

I like the new palette for the most part, but I think the roof of the house looked a little better in the washed out palette. I generally like my houses with non vibrant roofs...

Well the problem is that they use the same color in the cset. So changing the roof to be different than the water would require recolors and palette rearrangements.

Can't you use CSet 2 for the rooves? (I think it's 2 for the non-water, right?)

I am using cset 2. What I mean is that to get the different shades of blue that Moosh likes along side the water's blue, it would require palette rearrangements and recolors.

Why don't you just make 8-bit roofs separately and exclusively for this town? That could work. icon_smile.gif
I think a dark green or light brown could work imo.
