Well you are correct zmaster.
I have no time or will to write a new damn walkthrough, but I could make a small guide which guides players through the hardest levels in the game (level 4, 6 and 7 to name the worst ones).

UNABLE TO BEAT.... THE BOSS OF THE SHIP PLACE!

Level 4 was a pain in the ass since of it's *****ng huge size and that the smoke on the top. (I ususally don't like disabling. It's like cheating sometimes) The boss was cake compared to it which we already fought....and won't fight again until a long time. .. Level 5 was annoying at first due to the shortage of keys. Level 6 was one of the best levels but also one of the hardest. 7 was just a plain old hard cookie with lots of combo cycling that will make you fall into a pit
Other than that the quest didn't give me too much trouble. Most of it came from level 4 where I took a break. But finding the LEPs were really easy.

I read some of the previous posts and came across an interesting fact. There's 54 LEPs? That sucks! I was so excited when I found what I thought was the last one in the back entrance of Lab 14. I guess I need to find two more, then...
The maps are coming along pretty well. There's currently 45 of them, and most of them are completed for good. Pretty much everything I could find up to but not including Level 7 is in there, since I can't find Level 7. I found the "Dragon's Lair" thing from the museum ages ago, but apparently I'm supposed to do something with the blocks, and I have no idea what. There seems to be a useless switch near the ancient writings, or whatever they are, but no clue what it does...
I have a couple more questions, as well Most are cave-related ones I'm asking because of the maps.
1) I noticed this when comprising a list of all the LEP locations. I have a part of the darker cave on the map, and you apparently find a LEP there, but I somehow forgot to mark where the entrance to this cave is, and it's ticking me off. This particular part of the cave is completely seperate from anything else, although it is located immediately to the right of the part that leads up into the Garage. I wish I could describe it better, but it's pretty nondescript. Do you remember where the entrance to this could be? If not, could you open the quest in ZQ and find it? I searched for a while and couldn't find anything. Maybe it's so blatently obvious I keep passing over it.
2) Near the NE entrance to Mega City is a little spot of water you can dive in to enter a Cave. It is extremely short and empties out at that raised hole in the wall a couple screens left of the water. Does it have ANY point? There doesn't seem to be anything in it at all, not even some money. And yes, I tried diving everywhere.
3) What's the deal with the Lost Village? I tried burning and bombing everything, and you can't go anywhere. Methinks I need the hookshot (need it for the caves in the south and many other areas as well), but I'm not positive.
4) Around the southwest corner of the Factory's first floor, there is an elevator that appears to do nothing. Am I missing something here? Also, according to the maps on the walls, there seems to be a room in the NW corner of Floor 2 that I have never reached.
I think that's it for now. I will probably host all the maps and my list of LEPs somewhere and either post them here or PM them to you soon, possibly tomorrow. Since I already found 52 of them, I'm wondering if you could be so kind as to tell me where the other 2 LEPs are, for the sake of the maps. Unless of course they are in levels I haven't been to yet, like the mountains, or the rest of Lab 14. Hell, they could even be in the few unexplored Cave areas. Here's the current list of all the maps I've made.
Dark / Forest Caves (by forest cave, I mean the one that you fall into through the many holes around Lapin)
Eastern Caves
Factory: F1, F2, B2, B3, B4, and "Flooded Basements", which is one large image with all three flooded floors
Forest
Ice Cavern
Iso Dome
Lapin Town (Includes Guessing Game and Trap areas)
Lava Cave (the cave you fall into through holes in the caves in the South. May be bundled with South Caves when I finish exploring that area)
Mega City (Includes Harbor)
Mega City Caves (the Cave you enter through the hatch in that one house in Mega City)
Mega City Museum (may be changed in near future)
Mines
m/s Mariel: Decks 1-6
North
Overworld
Power Station
Powerless Mega City
Powerless Overworld
Powerless Power Station (the last three maps are simply the respective areas before you beat Wind Man and get the power back)
Secret Facility, parts 1 and 2
Sewers
South
South Caves
Thieves' Hideout: F1, B1, and B2
Tornis City (the cave was never made into a map, although I plan on doing that on a later playthrough)
Tornis Tower
Unknown (?) Dome: F1, F2, B2, and Cave
Western Caves
Wily's Secret Lab

I consider myself as an quite experienced MMDWRer so let me try to help you with some of those q's:
- 54 LEPs? I thought there were only 52 as well. 13 x 4 = 52 right? Oh but now I get it. You're probably counting the 2 bonus LEPs to the overall amount of LEPs. You see, there are 2 bonus LEPs hidden behind those hidden statues. I'm sure now you want to know the locations of the statues but I'm sure Peteo can help you with that.
- To get into the Dragon's Lair you have to get that grappling beam first (same as hookshot). That beam is inside a small building next to the Reseach lab (you have to dive to get inside the hookshot building).
Oh and almost forgot about those museum blocks. You have to memorize their positions since there is a nasty puzzle before Dragon's Lair where you have to move colorful blocks.
2) I didn't find anything from there either. So it must be just an useless bat cave (not for Batman lol
4) That elevator is probably broken so it doesn't work for me either. Don't know about the room you're talking about.
I'll let Peteo answer the rest of the questions. I hope I managed to help you at least somehow!

1) Hmm... I think I know which cave you're talking about. Immediately right to the garage cave, yeah, that separate part where you get one LEP by killing all the enemies. Yeah, found it! To get to that cave you have to sail to the small island on the right side of Iso Dome and break the cracked block with the Megafist. I hope that was specific enough.
2) Yeah, nothing there except for bats. That's just a "Weapon Energy recharge cave".
3) Ok, already answered.
4) In the NW corner of F2? Well there's nothing more than the power switch of the factory and the emergency exit. Maybe it's juts a small map bug or something.
All right, if you have any more questions I'll gladly dig up the answers for you. I appreciate your effort a lot.

Check it out everyone. I have 16 bars of life, and I'm 3/4 of the way to earning another. You thought there were only two extra LEPs? So did I, until now. There's apparently three. Muahahahahaha.
I'm really not sure why this is. The way I see it, there's two things that could have happened here.
1) I somehow picked up another one through a glitch somewhere, and one of the places I documented as having a LEP is wrong. There are really only 54 pieces.
2) Petoe miscounted when added all the LEPs, and added one more than there should have been. Due to human error, no one person has ever found all 55 until now.
SPOILERS: If you want to find all the LEPs (Heart Pieces) yourself, do not look at this.
LEP list
Here you can find descriptions of every last one. If you find one that is simply not true, please tell me. The one that I'm not completely sure about is this one:
"- On the way to the Ice Cavern and the North, you can kill all the enemies on a screen and make a LEP appear. It's on the way, so you can't really miss it."
I never marked it on the map, but I remember *something* appearing there, and according to an old, outdated list, there is in fact one there.
On another note, I'm trying to register at ImageShack right now. I will edit this post to contain the link to my album as soon as it exists, and all the maps will be there.
Edit: Ok, I put all the images on the site, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to allow other people to view my gallery. It seems like I'd either have to link to each picture individually or let people log into my account to see them. The FAQ isn't helping either. So if anybody has experience with ImageShack, please help me out.

Some corrections to the LEP FAQ:
- Tornis City's first LEp in the cave: You don't have to kill any enemies to get, it just sits there at the end of the maze-like cave.
- Hmm... Looks like you forgot to mention 3 LEPs from the Research Lab. You only mentioned the one in LAB 14 which you can get by entering the level through the "back door".
Oh and I don't know anything about Imageshack, but Photobucket is a great place for things like ZC Maps for example. You can upload many pictures, and they last there forever. And you can post the pictures to any forum by simply copying their [IMG] code thingy.
You have done great job Jish. Amazing job really... getting the surfing game directions right and everything... must have been a lot of work and extremely frustrating as well!
How can I ever thank you enough?

As for the maps, I was going to use Photobucket, but as YOU said (at least I think it was you) after an earlier post of mine, which included the map of Mega City, the image was shrunk down to be extremely small. Apparently photobucket automatically resizes things that are too large, and there's nothing that you can do about it. Imageshack seems to be working well, and not resizing things*, its just that I need to know how to make the gallery viewable.
* The overworld map was huge, so I did have to break that into two images. It's really bad, so you'll have to piece them together yourself if you download it.
I want to have something to show right now, so I'll put up the two overworld images. Once again, SPOILERS. IF YOU WANT TO FIND STUFF YOURSELF, DON'T LOOK AT THE MAPS.
Part 1 (West Half)
Part 2 (East Half)
And also, a P.S. The reason I'm able to do all this stuff is because I'm not going to school at the moment. I've been having some, err, family crisises (is that a word?), and I ended up leaving school in October. I'm going back in mid-January, though.

I have to check it out tomorrow after some sleep. But if that's the case then I agree, it's a stupid stupid mistake I made and I wonder why none of my testers realized this "error". However, I wouldn't call this a "horrible" mistake since I'm sure players love these game helping bugs more than game stopping ones. So this is more like a positive mistake than a negative one.
I didn't remember the annoying thing about Photobucket's image reducing. But looks like you found a way to make Imageshack pictures viewable, no? The map looks fantastic with all the tips, text and stuff. I assume the level maps are the same way as well.

Jish, are you planning to make the rest of the maps too? If you need any help, I will provide you all the info you need.

The Factory thing I was talking about earlier is this: Look at the map for Factory floor 2. According to the in-game map (top-left corner), there is a room directly above the one that exits to the overworld. Is this simply an error on the map, or is there actually something there?
Another question. To open Dragon's Lair, you have to push all the colored blocks, including a red one. I didn't see a red block anywhere in the Museum, did I miss it?
And now something relating to the actual quest. In "Caves - Lava", find the staircase marked "To J, Mountains". This seems to dump you off in the middle of a wall in the Mountains region. There is no way I can see that gets you down to the ground, and re-entering the cave makes you appear in a weird place in the lava cave. I'm going to assume this is a glitch that was somehow never noticed, but if not, what is going on here?
