Can you just purchase a prepaid VISA from one of the local shops?

Not sure if we have those here, i can maybe check if there's any. We don't have a store dedicated solely to selling videogames and consoles where i live, it's that bad.

And to be perfectly honest, i think i might just quit the franchise altogether. I felt nothing when Sun and Moon was announced and i had stopped playing pokemon for 6 months by that time. In Sun i reached the third island and i haven't played for over a week now. And even if i transfer all the pokemon i have in Y and AS (which are a lot), i doubt i'll even play.

Overleveled my Flareon to Lv 45, where it gets Flare Blitz then one shotted the little jerk with the Z-Flare Blitz (Since in-game we don't give them different names). It still nearly one shotted Flareon with Shadow Claw despite the 14 levels difference, but done with that nightmare at least. (I know Flareon's defense is bad, but jeez.)

Beyond that, been playing a little bit on and off, but it's hard for me to stay interested in it to play for longer than a short bit. I really need to either get an Alolan Ninetales or Sylveon as Dark types are getting a bit on the annoying side. But Vulpix is Sun exclusive and the one I got off the GTS is Japanese and like Lv.55 so I don't really want to use it. I'd also consider using Leafeon with X-Scissor, but as per usual you aren't allowed to have Leafeon or Glaceon until way later which is still really dumb.

Flareon has really poor Physical defense; 60 HP, 65 Defense makes it really poor at taking physical hits and would explain why the Totem Mimikyu nearly OHKOed it at +1. Totem Mimikyu at +1 hits at the equivalent of a Level 46 Pokemon and it probably has high Attack IVs and a +Attack boosting nature.
You can get Leafeon now - Go to North Lush Jungle and level it up there. If you looked around, like you did when looking for the ingredients for the Grass trial, you would have found the Mossy rock there.

Glad to finally get the Pokebank update. I am now breeding 1st generation starters as they seem to be popular on the GTS. I also plan on leveling a few to their final evolutions which isn't too difficult. Soon as I hatched my first Charmander I immediately went to the place right before the Pokémon league and after one battle it went from lvl 1 to lvl 17 and evolved. Rayquaza seems to one hit KO everything in the game despite not being able to mega evolve apparently.

I actually figured out the update was released when I was browsing the GTS and seen people requesting Charmanders, Charizards, Ekans and various other first generation Pokémon. Naturally I went straight to google and searched and seen it was finally released.

Also I read a few articles suggesting Pokémon Go will be compatable with Pokebank soon which very well might get me back into it. With the Apple Watch app out now I won't get annoyed by my phone battery being drained.

By the by, in case anyone was hoping for No Guard Machamp with Fissure, Pokemon transferred from RBY get their hidden ability instead. (Which for Machamp, is Guts, so yeahhhhh...) :P

There's a guy that can teach it Dragon Ascend, which is the catalyst for it's "mega-evo".

You're right I remember encountering him in a Pokemon Center I believe. Thanks for reminding me about it.

Interestingly, a day or two before the bank came out there were a massive amount of other gen hacks on the GTS such as Arceus and Charizard

I'll have to check, but didn't see any sign of the rock there in my look around. I even grinded Flareon up there when I could finally get a Fire Stone because plot wouldn't let me have it before that Grass trial. Just assumed it was in another random jungle since it feels like a lot of islands have some duplicate themes. I do know the Frozen Rock is somewhere I can't access for a while or I'd have gotten a Glaceon there asap, although Glaceon can't take either type of hits well at all..

It wrecked my Vaporeon and Dartrix too (Although, in all fairness Dartrix has been pretty sucky in general.) Vaporeon has bad physical defense sure, but usually stays around for a few hits with its HP.

I am enjoying the Pokebank I been waiting for a long time. Primarily because I finally have my first generation starters which are still my favorites. Really I don't know why I have such a strong preference for them perhaps it's because my first game was Pokémon Blue. I been playing Pokémon since Res and Blue were released and I'm amazed at how much the series has changed.

I was just thinking about the Pokedex, we have the "National Pokedex", not the "International Pokedex" we've seen Pokemon from outer space and other dimensions/realities, but we've never been to another nation. Interesting.

Fair enough, dude. I live somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but a lot of shops--even gas stations--sell prepaid VISA cards. You can also order them online. But, if you're indeed planning to quit the franchise, I'm not sure what the point would be.

Pretty much the only thing i can do now is buy a nintendo eshop card off of Ebay (which have quite a few selling there). But i don't  know, i'll have to think about it.

Another thing that is making me really reluctant to continue playing is that half of the mega stones are just gone. And since Pokebank doesn't allow item transfer, we are going to have to wait for them to be released. A big portion of the missing megas stones is megas i used quite a lot in the previous gen. To have half of the mega stones just missing is baffling to me, why couldn't they just be in the game at release? Heck, i wouldn't have minded if they were all in the  postgame.

Are all the Mega Stones gone? I know there's tons of them for sale in the postgame Battle Tree... but they cost a lot of Battle Points, and it would take you a while to get them. I mean, don't get me wrong, I hate that you can't transfer items just as much as you do. It's pointless and dumb.

There are quite a lot that aren't available without cheating. Which is why I cheated to get some of them. Not to ply with online, of course, but just for Battle Tree shenanigans. I am pretty upset by the arbitrary limitations there.

The megas stones of Abomasnow, Aggron, Altaria, Ampharos, Audino, Banette, Beedrill. Hoenn Starters, Camerupt, Diancie, Gallade, Gardevoir, Heracross, Houndoom, Latios/Latios, Lopunny, Manectric, Mawile, Medicham, Mewtwo Y and X, Pidgeot, Steelix and Tyranitar are currently unobtainable.

Most of the ORAS megas stones and a few from XY. are currently not obtainable without cheating.

Why does this reek of: "Buy our next game if you want the all these megas stones."?
