Mains?

64: Ness

Melee: Ness

Brawl: Ness, Lucas

What can I say, I like Ness. Playing him in Smash Bros 64 is what got me into the Mother series, actually. He definitely got smashed around with the nerf bat quite a bit in Melee, but I'm learning to use him (I used to play Young Link for Melee, but the Gamecube in the dorm has a broken memory card so I'm limited to default characters).

As for waiting for summer, I'd like it to come fast for other reasons. School being the top one. :P But yeah, I'll pick up Smash Bros 3DS when it comes out. It's not something like "Oh my gosh I NEED this," but it's definitely something I'm looking forward to.

Link. In all three. I don't actually understand when people think Link wasn't good in Brawl, my best fights are with him. I only see that changing if Megaman turns out to be the best thing ever.

Link was slowed down way too much in Brawl. He's still strong, but he's far inferior compared to many other characters.

Toon Link.

Oh, and I've notice that when Luigi jumps, he does a flutter kick. I wonder if that can do damage if someone gets too close.

Link has never really had a super impressive showing in Smash unfortunately. He looks to be buffed from what I've seen of Smash 4, so he might be better this time around.

Anyways mains:

64: Mario, Captain Falcon and Kirby

Melee: Dr. Mario and Captain Falcon

Brawl: Mr. Game and Watch and Mario

I mostly stick to Mario as he's always been simple, but I often toy around with other characters like Marth or Donkey Kong. I'm looking forward to trying more characters in Smash 4, so hopefully characters are better in that game than in Brawl.

My Mains:

N64: Ness, Link

Melee: Marth, Peach

Brawl: Lucas, Pit, Peach, Toon Link

In this... so far, way too many.  Mega Man, Little Mac, Rosalina, and Greninja all look awesome and I will probably play as all of them extensively, and Villager and Wii Fit Trainer look really fun, too.  Pit getting attacks from Uprising is really awesome, Zero Suit Samus being her own character is much better (I can't stand playing as normal Samus), and Ness needs a buff, especially since Lucas might not return and he was infinitely superior in every way.

N64: Link, Fox

Melee: Marth, Roy, Link

Brawl: Toon Link, Marth

#4 (expected): Toon Link, Marth, MegaMan

I like variety and play with a lot of different characters, but those are my "mains".

My mains:

64: Kirby

Melee: Kirby, Falco

Brawl: Meta Knight*, Lucario, Kirby

I will probably main Greninja and Mega Man in Smash 4, before returning to Kirby.

*Note: As indicated by my stance from earlier posts, I never found Meta Knight to be that overpowered. But then again I never used any of his big exploits like the ~30% damage KO cheapshot or gliding all the way across the map.

I pretty much feel like I could quote you and say nothing else. Those are my exact mains, (right down to trying Young Link in Melee).

We must be brothers.

Re Link: I don't see the problem with his speed, honestly. If anything, it's a tradeoff for his heavy hitting at worst. I don't think he's that slow, he's far from one of the slowest characters in the game I think, and besides, Link's not exactly remembered for being a fast character. :blah:

Link is also easily juggled/combo'd and known for having a bad recovery. It's not that he's really slow, just his attacks are kind of drawn out.
