O.O

We just got a new Walmart where I live, and all these teens decided they wanted a job... needless to say, it wasn't pretty the first couple months of business. icon_razz.gif

And, I just like to go to Gamestop 'cause there's some people there that are nice and actually know about the games; Walmart electronics people usually don't know diddly-squat about what they're selling, which drives me up a wall sometimes when they try to tell me something that I already know is wrong.

... but that's off topic.

More on topic, the only resemblance between the anime Team Rocket and the G/S Team Rocket is the female grunt from the original games, which looked sorta like Jesse, but not really. However, in Pokemon Yellow, the Team Rocket actually was the Team Rocket from the anime (SEE HERE; they're near the right-center).

I still don't know if I get a game, $45, or nothing at all. I really don't. walmart.com says "We will cancel the order; it may be too late, however. It is already in the process of leaving the facility.". OK.... so if that's the case, and it is too late, what happens then? I don't want it showing up on my doorstep only to hear "Pay us, or most unfortunate financial and legal things might happen.". As far as I'm concerned, I DID pay....They just can't seem to pull it together enough to access a debit card correctly.

And Christian? Evidently you're not familiar with our legal system. It takes money to sue, and money to sustain said suite. The amount varies exponentially to the resources of the entity being sued, and since this is Walmart, I might as well be suing God.

Personally I'd like to find the individual who made Pokemon Yellow and shove a tree up his/her arse. But that's just my predisposition.

Really? I liked Yellow a lot. Getting all three starters was a huge upside. Having Pikachu follow you around was kind of neat too.

Wrong again. Violet City and Olivine City share the same music. icon_blah.gif

Okay, whatever city uses the same music as Azalea! Sheesh, go easy on me. icon_razz.gif

Coulda fooled me.They look nothing like them.. 0-o

Opposite here. When I first saw the sprite, I thought it was them. Well at least we know the ones in HG/SS aren't. The two top executives are (most likely) the Rocket Admins from FireRed and LeafGreen, as suggested by multiple hints (such as their researching the effects of radio waves on Pokemon evolution).

Edit: HeartGold has been leaked onto the internet... Do you think it's morally right to send Nintendo a check for $40 an download it?
Dang, I don't know how long I can resist that. Hurry up Sunday, before my moral resolve crumbles!

Well, SoulSilver had found it's way onto the net also. Not too far after HeartGold did. I wanna play it, but I only have to wait 6 more days for my actual copy.

That's right! Never thought about it that way haha. icon_xd.gif Amazon would have been a better choice on buying the game. They've never failed me before.

How in the world does these games get leaked so early? These pirates seriously ruins it for everybody. I hope they get caught. >_>

On topic: I have a GameStop really close to where i live, and since i pre-ordered it i will be playing this game my entire Saturday. I will not have a social life this whole week icon_smile.gif

As I said before, it's Pokemon. They're going to make p-l-e-n-t-y of money off this thing. I can't imagine the majority of Pokemon's target audience even understand what a Rom is, even less so where to actually locate a reliable copy.

Also; rom's are fantastic for backup files. If you have purchased the game, (as far as I understand) it is legal to have a rom of it as long as you have some form of proof of purchase.

Also also; a Pokemon game based on the manga's plot would be the most bad ass thing ever, just like every other fantastic idea sprung from the imagination of frustrated aging gamers who will dream up amazing plots and game features to add to the franchise and yet be forever doomed to *sigh*, and accept the latest release with an silent air of defeat.

Which is what I'm going to do, so I can play it on my M3 and not have to constantly swap DS cards. Plus, that way my little brother can use the actually game card to play it.

There's always target. They do try and train us a little bit on everything.

I'll quote Russ: Getting the 3 mains with yellow was awesome. Yea, it might have been based more on the TV show, but it's not enough to mark it a bad game.

Actually, Lemon, concerning owning a ROM it's a legal grey zone. Creating one, unfortunately, is almost certainly illegal. You have the RIAA/MPAA to thank for the former and the DMCA to thank for the latter. All this applies if you own the game. If you don't, then it's illegal regardless.

Now, the question I have for Christian is: what are you going to do when culture itself is a walled garden of DRM, providing inspiration only to those who can meet specific income requirements? Should the amount of money you have dictate your access to inspiration? What about when the line of Da Vincis, Mozarts, Turings, and Miyamotos begin to dwindle? Are you willing to contribute to a system that delays the release of 90% of worthwhile ideas for over a century? What if one day we NEED the mind of a indigent to show us the next step?

Yep....Further stratifying the economic classes is JUST what we need.

Finally someone who feels the same I do. lol I'm not too disappointed about a G/S/C remake though. I've been dying for one to come out for the longest time. icon_razz.gif

Man. Just began playing this and Professor Elm can't stop talking about how awesome it is that you can now have a Pokemon follow you.

The developers just wanted to make sure you took time to appreciate how ****ing awesome it is to have a pokemon walk with you I guess.

...not to say it isn't... (SquekyHeat! He's so cute!)

EDIT: Oh and major props to the team for finally making it possible to skip almost all of the instructional dialog. I guess IV generations in they've finally decided we know what the deal is by now.
