That's the "natural" part of the dungeon. There's also a "temple" part of it. Like a temple was built into a volcano pretty much.

Edit: Disregard the screen design, I basically just slammed the palette on a totally different screen and added tiles randomly.

I need to add more tiles for the "temple" parts of the dungeon, but that's the general direction I'm taking. What do you guys think?

For the map, I suggest replacing all of the black with a tile. It looks very awkward for that wall to just turn and go into empty space.
Yeah, I don't do black spaces anymore. That's something I changed.
That looks rather awesome! Can't put my finger on why though.
Thanks! I take no credit for the palette though, making a palette back then was a hard thing to do for me.
