FINALLY!!!! I've unlocked every single achievement on "Hyperdimensional Neptunia Re;Birth Vol:1"! Millionaire was a huge pain!

...

I LOVE these games!! I finished up Re;Birth1 a couple of months ago, and started playing Re;Birth2 after that, finishing that up last month, and started Re;Birth3... and got side tracked with the games I'm playing now, being Hyrule Warriors Legends (love it!), and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX. But seriously, I have all the available games on Steam, and will be getting Megadimension Neptunia VII on day 1. BTW, I got all achievements on both games, and I will warn you, getting all of them on Re;Birth2 is more difficult, and requires a little more work to accomplish. Best of luck!!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Still my favorite video game of all time.

There's very little wrong with this game. The only thing I think is ridiculous is how saving and quitting adds a mark to your death counter. Or "games played." it's kind of unfair and feels like it's punishing you just for taking a break or because you had to put the game down. Never was a fan of that feature and it's one of the very few changes in the GBA remake I appreciated.

Lots of people think it is perfectly fair to be punished for using the Super Guide in New Super Mario Bros. Wii even if you go back and beat the level unaided. I don't see this being much different to the death counter punishment for wanting to save/quit.

You mastered the level? Well fuck you! We don't reward mastering the gameplay as you progress! Only those that mastered it in their sleep before ever inserting the game in to their console deserve the best reward!

In regards to Link to the Past, the worst part of the game is literally Dark Palace (First dark world dungeon). I have no clue why but I and a bunch of other people find it completely boring. Everything before and after that dungeon is fun though.

I don't mind the things like the Super Guide to help, because it's a choice. I can always just not use it. The parts where you get penalized for even having the option show up are what irritates me.

Anyways, I've still been playing through Fallout: New Vegas when I have the time. (Taking a full set of college classes during summer where they're more condensed was probably not the best idea for my sanity...) I'll say this, when the different mod-makers decide they want to make the nights darker, by God they are not kidding! I had to go download a night-vision mod just to compensate for the darker nights! (It's a good thing I started watching Gopher's LP of the game. He's the guy who made the night-vision mod.)

I've been playing SaGa Frontier. I beat Blue's story and am currently playing Emelia's story.

I enjoy it quite a bit. That being said, like most SaGa games, it has issues with difficulty balance. The game itself also feels VERY incomplete in a lot of areas. There's points where the game honestly feels like a prototype for what should be SaGa Frontier in its entirety. This includes incomplete events, and pieces of dialogue that seemingly add nothing, but seem like they would.

Aside from that, it's still really fun, and this is probably the closest I'm gonna get to a Romancing SaGa 4.

You'd be right. The game has a LOT of unfinished content, including an 8th chapter!

i completed my first play to Trails of cold steel, i liked the game itself, but in some part of the game the story proceed too slow, and if cannot return in many stages once you completed its.

I liked the interaction between the classmates

I... don't think those are comparable at all. One either shows you how to beat the level, gives you an overpowered powerup to let you beat it faster, or outright beats it for you entirely; the other... is just taking a break from the game. There's zero to be compared here.

Anyway, without access to my consoles over the weekend, I played a bunch more Binding of Isaac: Rebirth/Afterbirth. I've been playing it a lot and trying to fill out all the ticks, but that requires putting 1,000 coins into the Greed Machine in Greed Mode. And let me tell you, it's the worst part of the game. Greed Mode is super fun. Grinding it out just to fill up the machine, which can jam, is absolutely stupid. The chance to jam gets higher the more you donate with each character, so I was forced to switch around characters until I got it done. Fortunately, I wasn't forced to use any of the characters I'm not very good at.

But I've done it. All that's left is to fill out the cards on The Lost and Keeper, then find all their items and complete the game entirely. It's a pain in the ass already, it's about to be a bigger pain in the ass, but it'll be so satisfying.

Part three of my mini Zelda marathon down. Ocarina of Time, which is either the starting or escalation point of many of the series' current problems. Arguably, the owl in Link's Awakening was the first helper character, but Navi takes it to a new level. Link's Awakening was the first to be a truly story-focused game with little (if any) room for sequence-breaking; Ocarina of Time keeps sequence-breaking but really throws the story in your face.

But it's okay if the game's still fun, right?

I'mma be honest, up until Zora's Domain, the game was nothing but a slog. Maybe it's because of how many times I've played the game by now, but I don't get tired of A Link to the Past. I honestly feel like most of the fatigue is the lengthy cutscenes and slow text; seriously, text is slow in this game, and I'm pretty sure only Skyward Sword's text rivals this game in slow text progression. I've said it before, but Ocarina of Time's cutscenes are just not friendly to repeat players. They're so slow and they take up too much time I'd rather spend playing the game.

And Navi... I've wavered off and on over the years as to whether or not I'd defend her, but I'm done defending her. "That's a door!" No, really? "Pay attention to the super obvious blue action icon at the top of the screen!" You're a genius! "You can dive in water!" No way, even with said obvious blue action icon telling me while I'm in the water that I can dive, I'd never figure that out! "This switch is rusted!" NO SHIT.

Coupled with the slow-ass text, Navi fucking sucks.

To be fair, I still enjoy the Zora's Domain and Jabu-Jabu segment, and, after getting the Master Sword, the game really opens up. It's a ton of fun to beat the Fire Temple, Ice Cavern, and get the Biggoron Sword before even setting foot in the Forest Temple. I took a detour to the well to get the Lens of Truth early before beating the overhated Water Temple. I swept through the Spirit Temple before tackling the Shadow Temple. The adult segment of the game is a ton of fun, especially once you have Epona to make overworld travel much faster, and warp songs to cut out a lot of travel entirely.

Hyrule Field is a bore. Early on in the game, I could have traveled to other places across the map if I wanted to, but... I didn't want to. Because I have no reason to want to walk across that wasteland without a quick way back. Like I said, the horse made it more tolerable. The hub world should really give you more incentives to explore, or at least make it interesting without being tedious.

I've grown disillusioned with Ocarina of Time, it seems. Still has some bright moments, but there are three things that drag down the experience for me greatly: Unskippable cutscenes, slow as hell text, and a sucky overworld. Oh sure, once you're off Hyrule Field, things are more interesting, but in-transit, it's just not very fun unless you're on the horse. When the inevitable second remake of this game comes along, I hope it's a ground-up retool, addressing some of these issues, or at the very least makes the text faster and the cutscenes skippable. And an option to keep Navi silent would be nice.

Onward to Wind Waker. Which I quite enjoyed for its story, making me seem like a hypocrite. :heh:

The slow text is arguably a bug. Nintendo used the same timing for English text that they used for Japanese text, because Japanese text often consists of fewer characters the slow pace is fine but for English the text is considerably lengthier and because they didn't adjust the pace of the text to account for this it simply ends up taking longer to display text in the game! This was fixed in Majora's Mask and maaaybe the Gamecube Special Edition of Ocarina of Time.

I think Link's Awakening nailed the helper characters, they tend to not bore you to death and for the most part you don't have to interact with them. Instead you have the OPTION to talk to them via telephones! This function was included in Ocarina of Time (Speak to Saria, anyone?) but they combined it with somewhat frequent nagging from Navi (Nowhere near as bad as Fi though).

Onward to Wind Waker.

You better praise that game to death, or I'm coming after you B)

...anyways, I've kinda gone back into Minecraft again. Not vanilla, because that's boring as hell, but I've started up on a hardcore skyblock challenge. It's going pretty well so far, but starts off so slowly. It takes forever to get materials I need and takes forever to mobs to spawn. But oh well, I guess I'm finally getting into the good stuff now. I hope :P

It also took me about half an hour to get one dirt block. That's just 3slow5me.

I got Tomodachi Life and Super Mystery Dungeon, and my sister got Captain Toad (buy 2 get 1 free)

Tomodachi Life is already giving me tons of laughs. Being best friends with Groose is just the tip of the iceberg.

Just picked up Final Fantasy Explores on 3DS. We'll see if I play this at length, since I haven't even touched Bravely Second yet :P

I also got a Dreamcast Copy of Rayman 2: The Great Escape at Warp Zone. They have a lot of neat stuff there. I almost splurged and bought a Famicom, but I decided I should be a responsible adult. :|

There's also a new Kirby game for 3DS that looked pretty sweet. Still dunno if I wanna get Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Got the Platinum trophy in Zero Time Dilemma. By far one of the fastest Platinum trophies ever. And an end to such an amazing series! The entire Zero Escape trilogy is expected to come to PC. I highly recommend checking out the series.

Been playing lots of quests lately, including Hero of Dreams, Origin, Light of The Heavens, Flow of Time Remastered, and my own WiP quest.

When it comes to non-Zquest, I've been attempting to 100% DKC2, which has been driving me into insanity... not that I was very sane to begin with...
