Well I guess I just didn't say it clearly enough.

But yeah, I have this one little "joke quest" Fester's Quest coming soon, but if that is excluded then I will make no more quests that use existing characters who have appeared in other games. I was planning to make a PREquel to MMDWR, but I think I can make the best possible quest when everything in the quest is 100% my own.

Oh and people will have a chance to make their own MM quests with the DWR tileset as I'm about to upload it to the PureZC database as soon as I write some instructions first. The set is still unfinished, but it should have the most important tiles.

I'm stuck in MMDWR DC.

I got the first Triforce Piece and have ventured to the "South".
There's some spikey combos blocking my way that I don't know how to pass.
Can I get rid of those, or am I supposed to go somewhere else?
I've already been to Lapin(?) Village.

You won't be able to go very far down there until you get the L1 burner and that part of the South leads to a optional but useful L2 burner which costs 40 zens.

You want to find the Iso Dome, but since you found the south, the iso dome should north of that. Anything else you might want? Well the L2 shadow blade will really help, and you'll need the missile and the missile launcher, otherwise you won't be able to get the 2nd triforce piece. Keep your eyes out for screens with more than one tilewarp cause they usually lead to LEPs. Then after getting the Power chip head to the mines cause you'll need that Megabuster eventually...

Yes, ALMOST!!!
As I said in my earlier post, I'm about to upload it, but I have to write some instructions first so people can find their weanted tiles easier and what palettes to use etc.
The tileset won't be 100% finished as there are still some tiles missing from the end of the game and I haven't had time to make many example screens, but an update will soon follow which corrects those flaws.


And mighty_darknut, I was just wondering... if you just got the 1st Triforce piece, how in the world have you been able to visit Lapin Village already? That means you must have been in the Iso Dome and you've got the Power Chip. To find the 2nd Triforce from that dome you must find 4 numbers hidden there. When you have all the numbers you can insert the password to a computer and get access to the boss room...

You have been at the entrance to Lapin. Ok. But you haven't been inside the village yet, right? Because if you have, then there's some weird bug in the game...

I've been inside the village but it didn't seem like a bug.
There's a cave a few screens to the west of the village enterance that leads to the mountains to the north of the village.
I got to the village enterance from the mountains and I was able to get in the village.

I already have the Whistle and Silver Armor, where's the lvl 2 Sword?

L2 sword? Well you NEED to get in the Iso dome with the missile chip and of course missiles. Get the Power chip from there. (Don't worry because there's only one more chip I think...) Then head to the west coast with the broken bridge. Go along that shore north. You should see a red portal which leads straight to hell. Move that stone out of the way with the chip. You may want to have 255 rupees or won't be getting to the boss that easily.

Uh, what are you trying to say? PolygonX8 gave you a hacked version of MMDWR DC? That's kind of hard to believe. If you're just joking then that was NOT a good joke.
I will actually release an easy version of the quest so that all those who are stuck in some of those hard levels can have a chance to beat the game. After that I just MIGHT release an unpassworded version of the quest.

Oh, and I have submitted the tileset! But looks like it's going to take some time for someone from the Site Staff to make an update...

Well, just in case someone missed it, the newest PureZC update includes the MMDWR TILESET. So go and download it. No more emails and PMs about the set unless you find something wrong in it, thank you!

And about an easy mode for MMDWR DC, I might set up a poll to see if that kind of version is really needed as I have my hands full of work with 2 other quests already.

It really doesn't need an "Easy" mode. It's just as hard as the original MM games and that's the way it should be.


About the "Fester's" quest thing.....Isn't that someone from the Adam's family? That's what it says on the title screen....(On the game)

So the tileset's up? I'm going to start ripping.....alot! As soon as I figure out how you can take pictures in the tiles section... I just realized that the fog isn't as easy to use as I thought.....

Heh, yeah the fog. Good god... I have no idea how many DAYS I used for the damn smoke, so make a good use of it!

And about ripping the tiles, there's a lot easier way to rip the tiles than trying to take snapshots of them. Just go to File -> Export -> Tiles/Palettes and rip/grab from the til. and pal. files.


Fester's Quest... Yes, Fester is that freaky short bald guy in the Addam's Family. The quest will be short and more action packed than puzzles, and the quest will be tough and freaky.
