I'm really liking Moon a lot. I also changed my clock to make the day/ night cycle right. I just beat the third trial, and this truly feels like what Gen 3+ should have always been. I haven't gotten this invested in a Pokemon game since Gen 2 (had gold and crystal) and heart gold was good. I'll write a more thorough review later. My pokédex is only at 16%, and my current team is,

Magnemite, 27
Torracat, 28
Gastly, 24
Magikarp (yes, for real), 15
Slowpoke, 23
Polywag, 20

Magnemite is really OP for catching pretty much anything with thunder wave, and sonic boom, and the game feels a bit on the easy side but that's in part cause of my grindy play style, but I'm not bothered by it really.

Edit: Lol, just realized my entire party is gen 1 except my starter.

Mid to high 30s. I forgot the stat check is a thing and my touchscreen has a lot of issues so I can't really do it too well regardless. Mimikyu must have really high Speed, Attack and both Defenses then if it is that OP at +1.

My team was at a slightly lower level than Mimikyu and I didn't have too many issues with it. +1 does make a good deal of difference most of the time - It didn't make that much of a difference with the Vikavolt battle (who gets the same stat boosts) because Totem Vikavolt thankfully doesn't carry any Special moves, has low Attack and it has really poor speed.

Mimikyu's Base stats aren't that high, being notably low for a non-evolving Pokemon. Its Base Stats are as the following:

55 HP

90 Attack

80 Defense

50 Special Attack

105 Special Defense

96 Speed

I actually beat it last Friday but haven't been on my MacBook in that time and it's inconvenient making long posts from my phone. My team I used to beat it are:

- Incineroar lvl 64

- Greninja lvl 64

- Gyarados lvl 58

- Lurantis lvl 59

- Snorlax lvl 54

- Solgaleo lvl 61

The game was a bit easy, only two or three battles in the game really gave me a trouble at all and I never lost one, that being said easy doesn't necessarily mean bad to me. The only games that really gave me a challenge was Red/Blue/Yellow, but the modern games having exp share and having a limit on how many items you can carry (I believe they had a 20 item limit but I haven't played them since 1998 or 1999). Naturally you can make the game more difficult for yourself by not taking advantage of exp share but the difficulty level doesn't bother me.

Another thing I found a bit strange was that you can't fly on Charizard in buildings (which makes perfect sense) however if you go to the Pokemon Pelago while indoors it lets you, and even has the same background of an open sky.

I also had a guy at work complaining about the game having vehicles in it for some odd reason. For one the originals had them, and they have always had computers, Pokedexs, ships, video game consoles (in bedrooms), TVs, kitchen appliances, etcetera. And the first generation or two had casinos as well.

Doesn't the game show your character spinning (teleporting outside) before Charizard takes you to Poke Pelago?

Yeah, with a sound to accompany it. I think it still dumps you back indoors afterward though? Either way, would've been nice if they just teleported you outside to fly with Charizard as well.

I didn't remember as I have only went there from indoors once or twice. That would explain the open sky background but not why you can fly there, but not anywhere else from inside a building.

Unless the recent patch fixed it, I don't think Toucannon has a Skyward Strike Z-move animation, he just kind of rotates in a standing position. It looks really awkward. Also, the patch was reputed to have fixed Abra not learning confusion when it becomes Kadabra, but I recently evolved some Abras and that didn't happen...

Apparently Pokemon Bank has no free trial for people who just want to transfer their pokemon from Gen 6 to Gen 7.

I'm done. I have no way of paying it (no nintendo eshop cards here) and i don't feel like starting over since i've been collecting pokemon since Leafgreen.

It may be three years old but the image is relevant again.

I skipped on Pokemon Bank last gen, but with the National Dex syncing with all your games now, I think I'll pick it up and actually finish the National Dex.

Oh, wow! I didn't realize the update went live last night. Just yesterday morning, I was looking for updates on when it would finally be up. I'll have to update it when I get home from work.

Can you just purchase a prepaid VISA from one of the local shops?

Postgame Progress: Explored that area on the 4th island that you couldn't explore until you became Champion (The area that has the Battle Tree at the end of it and all it's side paths).

Team Levels are around 66-69.

Thoughts occurring during the postgame:

-(Defeats a scientist who says to catch a lot of Pokemon with Rotom) I'd like to, but it's really difficult when the only wild Pokemon you encounter in the area are Alolan Raticates and Pelippers (2 Pokemon I'm getting really sick of running into. Speaking of the Alolan Raticates, I'm also getting sick of them using Sucker Punch whenever I decide to take one out).

105 Special Defense

Overleveled my Flareon to Lv 45, where it gets Flare Blitz then one shotted the little jerk with the Z-Flare Blitz (Since in-game we don't give them different names). It still nearly one shotted Flareon with Shadow Claw despite the 14 levels difference, but done with that nightmare at least. (I know Flareon's defense is bad, but jeez.)

Beyond that, been playing a little bit on and off, but it's hard for me to stay interested in it to play for longer than a short bit. I really need to either get an Alolan Ninetales or Sylveon as Dark types are getting a bit on the annoying side. But Vulpix is Sun exclusive and the one I got off the GTS is Japanese and like Lv.55 so I don't really want to use it. I'd also consider using Leafeon with X-Scissor, but as per usual you aren't allowed to have Leafeon or Glaceon until way later which is still really dumb.
