Been playing this quest for a few days, and I must say that I love it. The dungeons are well put together, the overworld is very interesting to look at and traverse through and everything looks and sounds fantastic. It has not felt too frustrating at any point, which is a major accomplishment.

I have advanced through 7 levels and through what I assume to be a majority of the optional content not locked behind Legacy Mode (sounds like these dungeons are crazy as hell and not particularly recommended for much of anyone :P ) and was on the doorstep of Level 8. Then I got the first hint of Level 8 and presumed that I needed a certain item in order to proceed through the final dungeon, so I went back and claimed that item... and pretty much hated myself for that decision. Too late to turn back now, though. And the game has started just randomly raining Rupees on my head, as if to comfort me and tell me that I made the right decision. Odd phenomenon, but whatever.

The reason I'm putting this up today is about the optional content. I've proceeded through two of the big optional areas in the lower world and the Tower. (The boss of the tower was fun and interesting to fight.) But, a hint from I forget exactly where exactly told me:

If someone could illuminate me as to my quandary, I would be appreciative. Also:

As far as the raining rupees goes, that's a random status effect that can be triggered by having the one rupee from the VVVVVV dungeon.

NJF: Okay, Miss entitled!! Just because there's a door there, you don't need to know what's in it! It's none of your business!! It doesn't have be your business. You don't have to make it your business!! (14:45)

In the prologue, Link explains the details of a difficult week he's been having. He and his girlfriend was zapped into a portal into a parallel world where money was scarce. Zelda was kidnapped by parallel world Ganon. To save her, Link had to do a long quest to get his hookshot by getting all the world's money. Zelda god kidnapped again by an evil being named Poek. So Link beat him up and saved Zelda, and she got kidnapped again. Link got knocked unconscious, and when he woke up, he found himself in another parallel universe.

Here, he spoke to an old man who explained that the only way to save Zelda was to collect 7 moral compasses and defeat sin. This all before he stole Link's end game gear and ran off with them.

Link now meets another stranger who explains that the old man always does this, and Link's stuff is probably already lost by now. He invites Link to his village here he reveals his name to be Satan, which is pronounced Suh-tan. Satan provides Link a new sword so he can start his new adventure.

After speaking to a few villagers in the village, Link heads to the Shifting Ruins. These ruins are filled with mean traps. Here, Link discovers an old man named Manhandalaha is helping people through dungeons giving advice using tablets. He will be helping Link in his quest from now on, unless some unfortunate circumstance ever to happen to him. After defeating an Aquamentus, Link obtains his first moral compass.

NJF Plays Link's Quest for the Hookshot 2: Quest [Update/Hard] (02 - Dangerfree Dungeon)

(Duration 16:09)

Description:

"Hey door can you please FUCK OFF!!" - NJF @ 7:32

arceusplayer11: This is (15:09)
arceusplayer11: PROBLEMATIC (15:11)

Link explodes a hole into a wall to find a secret dungeon owned by Samual Strawman. He's very passionate against any form of difficulty and has designed his entire dungeon around making the dungeon crawling experience for Link as easy as possible. In this dungeon. Link cannot die from damage. Shutters move when kindly asked. A problematic rating score is added to each room to ensure it is not too difficult. Everything seems to go smooth and comfortable in this strange place. Even a Gleeok is permanently terminated for violating the rules of the dungeon. It would appear as if nothing could possibly go wrong until the very end where something, a boss seems to breach the dungeon and breaks it's rules. This boss creature defeats Link, ruining Samual's dream dungeon.

You ask in the video about what I thought about the dungeon, the answer is: I think it's great. It matches the rest of the humour in the quest in that it's very self aware about itself while still making fun of the very same thing. Also, the boss and the reward from beating it is great. 'w'

Well, finally did it. I beat the quest and did everything I think there is to do in the quest. That includes the Megasecret. And having done it... I kind of wished I had never been told about it in the first place. XD To put it in perspective, I started on 38 deaths in the quest, which I consider to be respectable for a quest I've never played before (and stubbornly going after certain things when I didn't have the power level to really hack it). By the time I was done with everything involved, I was at 171. Anyone who has played that far will know where those 133 deaths came from. It's a very cool secret and everything. But, damn. There is one thing which puzzles me though...

Moosh, don't apologize for the megasecret. It was a cool thing to play through, even if it was brutal.

Hi Moosh and everyone!

Really awesome quest so far, a lot of love and effort went into this. Thanks for creating it!

My question is... where are the potion shops?

I thought I found one, but I can't remember where it was and I was searching the entire overworld for it.

Thanks in advance! :)
