The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

1. I can't accept a right handed Link.
2. Whenever I had a sword (or lightsaber) fight when I was younger, I always held it in my left hand (even though I'm righty for mostly everything else).
Honestly, having a left handed Link wouldn't require flipping the game. The human body is symmetrical, if Link is flipped, other than which hand is holding what, nothing would be different. Maybe a cutscene or two would have to be altered, if it truly looked awkward when Link is left handed. I don't see any reason other than laziness that Nintendo didn't include this as an option.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword.

The thing is, guys, Link is supposed to be different in every game. Sometimes he's a brunette. Others he'll be a blonde. He might have green sleeves. He might wear tights. He might have chain-mail or a pair of pants (I'm surprised no one cares about that). I kind of look at the whole right-handed thing as just another characteristic as such. (if all that really matters is him being left-handed, I'm gonna go work on a 10 second quest. Link will be left-handed, it should get 5 stars) If you're really that left-handed, then all I can really say is... too bad. But don't forget that every one of us used joysticks/d-pads with your left hand since forever, it kind of makes sense to think, "Hey, they probably will be more used to using that joystick with their left hand." For people like Jared, it sucks, but hey... life isn't fair all the time.
Don't worry though. The others will never know the majesty of a baseball glove for a left-handed player. (I do, and it's fantastic)

Kudos to whoever gets that reference. Anyways, here's the thing. There's this certain gene some people have, and some people don't. If you have it, you're right handed, that's all there is to it. You can't be left handed, your left hand simply can't function as well as your right. If you don't have it, you can be either left handed or right. So when ya look at it that way, a leftie could train himself to playing with the Wii remote in his right hand, while some righties would find it physically impossible to play as well with the Wii remote in their left hand. Just throwing that out there.
On a side note, why does it matter if Link's right or left handed? Seriously?

I'd play Skyward Sword no matter which hand Link uses, although it would be cool to add the option (which runs code to flip Link's model without flipping the entire world - can't be too hard, right?).

Unless they've got some IK (inverse kinematics) coders at Nintendo who know what the hell they're doing, it's actually extremely hard to do this. You'd have to have mirror-image animations for the new model (and I mean every single animation, from idle animations to bow firing animations to you-name-it), which can't be easily done in a recursive (automatic) manner.
Simply flipping the model doesn't flip the bone positions and animation keyframe coordinates, they'd basically have to re-create Link completely.

On that subject, though, Twinrova... wouldn't surprise me. Vaati, on the other hand, would. But I dunno, we'll see. I'm pretty much getting to the point that I no longer want to speculate or read a lot of new info because I want the whole game to be a total surprise. Which makes it that much harder to wait, but, we'll see.

No one responded which made me believe no one read it, so I posted it again. :s
