I pretty much agree with Migo. I'd give it a 10/10, and it's my fourth favorite Zelda. Really, it just appealed to me a lot. The story was pretty dark (Zelda dies for crying out loud!) and yet it still maintain the typical Celda humor. The music (especially the Train Music and Byrne's Theme) was amazing. The Tower of Spirits was really fun, and didn't require playing the same parts over and over. The dungeons were well put together, and the bosses were huge, hard, and, well, fun.

Anyways, I just beat the enemy rush thing level three. The last floor of that was, surprising to say the least. (SPOILER) You get healed by twelve hearts, then fight Dark Link. And it even plays the Ghost Ship Battle music from PH!

And now I'm off to the Goron Target thingy that I forgot to even visit. Well, I visited it once, but it was open. Anyways, I have three heart containers left to get, I know where one is, and I have a hunch that the second one's at the Target thing. It's so nice that Nintendo put back all the fun sidequests and minigames. They're loads of fun.

I just beat the game. My opinion on the game still hasn't changed like I thought it would. My final rating for the game is about 7/10.

@Migo: What do you see in the game that makes it deserve that high of a score?
And you say that a mere posts away from the three-page review I wrote... if you wanna know, read it.

I read the whole thing, but I didn't see what made you give it an 11/10, the highest score I've ever seen a game get. That means it's beyond perfect, and there is no such thing as a perfect game in my eyes. Sure, Spirit Tracks is a great game, but it's definitely not perfect.

Agree to disagree icon_smile.gif

Anyways, just finished another sidequest thingy... god, I love these, even though there's no actual reward, except for some stuff that's more or less useless once you actually complete the game. It's still really fun though, and I can't get myself to stop playing icon_razz.gif

There's not one at the target thingy. I have all of them. [/brag]

I finally beat the final boss a couple hours ago. I could have done it sooner, but I was having too much fun collecting everything...lol Since other people are giving their rating, I guess I'll throw in my two cents...Not that it really makes a difference. I just need an excuse to do it. icon_deformed.gif

Anyways, I really liked the game. It's definitely one of my favorites. Sure, the graphics wasn't the best, but it was interesting. I haven't enjoyed playing a Zelda game this much since Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. Well, that's it for my super short and crappy review. My rating out of 10 is a 9. It wasn't a perfect game, but definitely worth buying. getting as a Christmas present.

I guess I can't use that phrase when I didn't pay for it. icon_razz.gif Anywho, back to collecting stuff!

Wow, I just beat the Lost at Sea sidequest. That's so fun! And now I'm sitting here, trying to figure out where those last two heart containers are...

Is it just me, or is it nearly impossible to but anything for the train. He demands three different things, and there's not a single one that I have all three of. It's so annoying!

I bought several things for the train already, including the Gold Engine. The best way to collect treasures is by doing stuff like the Whip Game (Pst. There's a Heart Container there if you haven't gotten it yet.) deep in the forest village, or playing other mini games like that. If you don't get the items you need, sell the those ones and use the rupees to buy stuff from shops in towns. The Beetle is better because you get points, but the town shops tend to have the ones that are less rare, but still hard to find. If that makes sense. icon_wink.gif

Keep doing the Lost At Sea Sidequest. The treasures return, so you can get 9 free treasures as well as the Regal Ring over and over. Sell it again and again and you can buy the treasures from Beedle.

I bought the entire Gold Set right before I did Lost at Sea, but I deliberately did that last.

I actually wanted the Dragon Set for a while, but it took me forever to start getting Wood Hearts and I only got two Pirate Necklaces the entire game. icon_sweat.gif

I want the dragon set, but I can't find any demon fossils. It's so obnoxious.

Wait, only two pirate necklaces? I think I have five or something like that. I guess the treasures you get are chosen randomly.

Is there somewhere else besides blowing leaves in Whittleton to find those fossils?

Actually, Whittleton is pretty much the best place to get any of the 50 rupee treasures.

I just borrowed this game from a friend of mine today for about fifteen minutes. I was impressed before I even got past the title screen. It wasn't like PH where the first time I played it I thought "let's get this over with", it seemed rather epic when I started playing it.

I also felt that right off the bat it was more challenging than Phantom Hourglass, and that the controls were much easier to deal with (in terms of the train, at least) compared to the controls of PH's boat. I liked the way the boat worked in WW because you could turn the boat just using the analog pad, but having to trace (and often retrace) routes in Phantom Hourglass was a major pain. In this game, the travel was a lot smoother because you would just keep traveling on the path and if it came to a fork you could just switch the rails. If animals were on the track, you could just blow the whistle and they would get off. And it's not like PH where you had a slight lag and had to act ahead of time; these animals got off the tracks fairly quickly.

All in all, I hadn't even gotten to the exciting part and I already loved it.

Wow, you're still at the boring part of the game. If you like that, just wait until you get to the good part.

Honestly, I didn't like the train... It would be about 10x better if they made it faster. Maybe I'd like the game a lot more if they had done that. When I play it now, I just set my DS down and go on my computer while Link is riding the train. When I hear enemy music, I turn to the DS and kill them. Then I go back to browsing the web.
