So, uh... new character, guys. And this time, it's not a veteran.

I haven't played FE, so I don't know who Ike is, but I'm still pretty excited. Can't imagine how excited some of you Fire Emblem nuts are.

If Ike was implemented, I'm not sure that Roy will be returning. However, there are dramatic differences between a one-handed sword like Marth's, and a two-handed sword like Ike's. ( ... ... ... 'Cuz We Like Ike! ) So I'm sure Marth will be in as well, and I do very much hope that both of them will have dramatically different play styles, like the differences between Ganondorf and Captain Falcon in the previous (Yet still current.) game.

Ike for some reason appears to me as a slow character, but I can't be sure. Though it would make sense seeing as Marth is very swift, and Ike being his new counterpart.

I'm inclined to think it's Marth that Ike will be replacing, if for no other reason than their color schemes. The most obvious difference between Marth and Roy (albeit the least important one) was that Marth was blue and Roy was red. Ike's blue clothes and hair make him too similar to Marth in appearance for them to be in the same game. And, although he does have a two-handed sword, he tends to use it one-handed, so his moves may not be all that different.

Of course, I say that based on absolutely nothing.

Ike. Haven't played Fire Emblem, but that didn't stop me from liking Marth. So... Ike looks interesting. Somebody I'll probably use.

I spazzed out in chat when I first saw Ike. *puts s stamp on the character that says "BEST CHARACTER UPDATE EVER!"*

Again, the screenshots don't do this one justice. I want to see this guy fight! My Wii is probably going to explode from all of the awesomeness radiating from that game (I hope not. I want to play the game. ).

Right now, I'm all like but if they add Ephraim (so we have someone in the game who actually doesn't use a sword), I think I'll explode instead of Animus01's Wii

Yay, Ike ^_^ Even though we all saw this coming over a year ago (the Fire Emblem stage, remember?), it's still nice to finally hear of someone new in SSBB. If Aether isn't his Final Smash, then what is?

I said that the newcomer I was looking forward to most was Pit. I was wrong. Ike = pure awesomeness in an edible form.

I seem to have gotten into the habit of staying up as late as possible to see a Smash update. Well, I finally recognized the official Fire Emblem stage: Castle Siege. I wasn't sure what it was when I first saw it. But wow. This is a nice-looking stage! It's like three stages in one! And, it has those destructible statues! Aww dang. Moonwhisper and I have already chosen this stage as the site for our first online battle. My Wii had better not explode from the awesomeness that emanates from the game.
