Bomb and Arrows completely destroy the armored phase of the Darknuts in Twilight Princess. Just aim the arrow at their feet. Guess the issue is the chainmail phase.

...I did not know this. Welp.

Ah well. It probably wouldn't have been as exciting if I knew this. Not that I always use the easiest methods for killing enemies. Honestly, sometimes, I handicap myself by purposely not using strong items, just to add more of a challenge factor, since newer Zelda games aren't very difficult in the enemy department. When I was playing through Wind Waker HD, I tried using the hammer instead of the sword for most fights. It actually made me have to think about when I'd take a swing, because it leaves you open for attack due to the delay, as opposed to the sword where you can mindlessly swing to win. It definitely made it more of a challenge, especially in Hero Mode, but it was fun.

Decided to give Chrono Cross another try. I'm enjoying it much more compared to my first try. Then again, i was getting tired of RPGs during my first try, so i guess that's why i quitted.

Just beat TPHD with 100% including the Cave of Shadows. Ganondorf's horseback fight was a lot more frustrating than I remember, but I got through it fairly well in the end. The 1v1 fight right at the end is still pretty awesome, especially with the whole chance thing.

I also find the Cave of Shadows to be much more interesting and fun than the Cave of Ordeals. The design looks really neat past floor 6, had potential to be an interesting dungeon rather than an enemy rush. The final room was also pretty cool, with different sections to go through and the mix of Twilight and regular enemies right near the end was also pretty cool, would've been more neat if it was like that throughout the whole cave rather than just the first 6 floors and then 2 or 3 near the end.

And yeah, stamps are a pretty stupid collectible. My heart sank a bit every time I got one of those, but I guess I had to get them all for 100% >_>

Either way, I had quite a lot of fun with TPHD. It's definitely not the best Zelda remake I've played, but it was still pretty good. This and the original both have their own problems so I can't say if I prefer this or the original honestly lol.

Next up is to finally play Hyrule Warriors since I've had this for a very long time and just haven't managed to play it yet... until now that is :P

I completed the Palace of Twilight tonight. It had some really nice atmosphere, but as a dungeon, it felt a little weak. I wish after the two Sol segments, it continued on like a normal dungeon with a central room, and branching paths n' stuff, but nah. It's very linear. The fight with Zant was wacky and entertaining, though, I kept dying because I didn't have any portions or fairies, and every time I respawned, it put me right back into the fight with only 3 hearts and no way to recover. I have a feeling it would have been pathetic in normal mode with no Ganondorf Amiibo, though.

Now, I just have Hyrule Castle to do, though, I still have 1 heart piece, and 1 poe left to find, and I think I'm somehow missing a Hidden Skill somewhere. I think I know which one it is, though. There's also the Cave of Shadows, so I have a little bit of sidequesting to do before I take on End Game. *Sigh* I miss this game already...

I definitely agree, I wish the Palace of Twilight was heavily expanded on and was made like all the other dungeons. It's still one of my favourite dungeons just because of the atmosphere of the place, but I would've died to see more. And Zant was kinda pathetic on Normal mode with no Ganondorf Amiibo. The only phase that did a bit of damage was the very last one (and even then I lost about 3 or 4 hearts only).

Hyrule Castle also seems to suffer the same issue as the Palace of Twilight once you're done with the outside parts. Sucks too because that would've made a really cool final dungeon. The build up is awesome though.

Man, they should allow Wolf Link to lap up chu jelly from the floor. The Cave of Shadows is freakin' impossible in Hero Mode... I got frustrated, and just moved onto Hyrule Castle, and I really enjoyed it, actually. Do I wish there was more to it? Yeah, but I felt it supplied some nice little challenges before the final fight with Cranando Ganondorf, and it was pretty fun. The atmosphere is also fantastic, especially how the music gets more and more intense as you continue through. It wasn't the best final dungeon, but I found it to be pretty fun. I'll go back and beat the Cave of Shadows another time.

Spoiler

Despite the bosses being a little shallow, I thought it was an excellent end off to the most epic Zelda adventure to date. I'm glad I was finally able to beat this game. I had a blast throughout the entirety of it, and have definitely developed a new-found love for it. I certainly don't think of it as just "Epic Ocarina of Time". It has its similarities, but it has an identity all its own as well. I honestly feel it does some things better than any other Zelda game, but it does have its flaws. It's definitely stupid when it comes to difficulty sometimes, even with Hero Mode + Ganondorf Amiibo. The AI just isn't that good, and Link feels super overpowered in comparison to some of the enemies. I hope Zelda U is better with that. Other than that, though, I honestly don't have too many other complaints that actually matter. I think Twilight Princess is a fantastic game, and I'm going to miss it...

Juggling between Chrono Cross, Torchlight 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel.

About Chrono Cross though, my opinion of this game has increased greatly. I found it boring during my first playthrough and because of that i never finished. I don't know what happened, but i'm enjoying it much more now in my second attempt. The game gives an unique spin on the turn battle system, the music is phenomenal, the characters are pretty cool and the story is very intriguing.

I've been having a blast with the Steam remake of Final Fantasy VI. Although I beat the main game over a week ago, I'm still going through the optional content. I just beat Dragon's Den (which was first added in the GBA remake, I think) which was absolutely fantastic. The dungeon itself is huge and intricate, and the nine superbosses you fight also have these amazing gimmicks to them that make every fight feel different. I have all the espers, and I believe the only superboss left for me to fight now is Omega Weapon, which requires going back through the Dragon's Den, but I don't know if I can actually take him on. The recommended level for the dungeon was in the 80-90 range, but my party was in the upper 40s and lower 50s, which made things hard enough already. I've also technically got the enemy/boss rush thing that just opened, but seeing as that requires fighting all the dragon rematches with no breaks in between, I'm not expecting to beat that any time soon.

The game has some issues, for sure. There are some regions with a baffling lack of save points (Floating Continent comes to mind) that I wouldn't have beaten without quicksave abuse. Some enemies seem really overpowered, and some mechanics are a bit outdated. And then there's Deathgaze, who's absolutely tedious to try to find. But despite its flaws, the game's aged really well, and I love it. And I may be the only one, but I actually like the graphical overhaul the Steam remake got.

Coming from personal experience, Omega Weapon is more difficult than Kaiser Dragon in my opinion. He might have less health, but he has some nasty attacks that Kaiser didn't had.

All the Star Fox Zero excitement made me plug in my CRT, hook up my 64, and play some Star Fox 64. This game will never not be great, and remains one of my favorites to this day. The corniness, the great scenarios, the solid controls, the perfect music... the sudden feels at the very end. It's made me kind of realize, we never needed another game like Star Fox 64 when the original is so good and lasts through the ages, and I'm perfectly happy not having Zero.

... but I still kinda wanna play it.

Quick question about StarFox Zero. Are there traditional controls in the game or are you forced to use the motion controls?
