XCOM 2 is a blast to play. With the mod support it's just fantastic.

Got a little further into Fire Emblem Fates Conquest. Yep, this is better than Birthright IMO. It reminds me a lot of the classic Fire Emblem games on the GBA. There's more variety mission objective wise rather than just Routing the enemy.

I'm also playing The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel. This game really is a gem of an RPG. It brings back the formula of what makes JRPGs so great in gameplay.

Got a copy of Solatorobo from my "local Gamestop" yesterday (after getting it shipped from a store near nashville), and I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

Been trying to finish up Twilight Princess HD. I actually played through the City in the Sky for the first time ever, since we lost our original copy for the Wii right after I completed the Temple of Time. I love the atmosphere of the City, but my lord, is it obnoxious. Especially that freakin' "music". You can probably torture me by leaving me in a blank white room while pumping in the theme from the City in the Sky on speakers, and I'd go insane in less than an hour. The boss of the dungeon is pretty cool, though. Very nice use of the Clawshots. I love how Zelda bosses are more like living puzzles that can kill you. Just wish they were tougher.

One complaint I have about Twilight Princess is the rewards for sidequests, and bonus chests n' stuff. They're very lame in this game. Other than some minigames that give you extra bomb bags, quivers and the occasional Piece o' Heart, a lot of the sidequests give you rupees, or nothing at all. Heck, the fishing hole doesn't give you any prizes, and the prize for torturing yourself with 64 levels of Roll Goal is completely underwhelming. I REALLY hope Zelda U has MUCH more goodies you can find all over the overworld, and by completing quests, because, while some of the quests are fun, and worth doing just for the experience, others are obnoxious, and are only made worse by a lackluster reward. Bring back awesome, helpful items you can only get from long sidequests, like the Biggoron Sword, or the Boomerang from Link's Awakening, and make them a'plenty in the new Zelda, and make some items hidden away in bonus dungeons and caves found throughout the overworld. If they're trying to rethink the conventions of Zelda, please, rethink the rewards and treasures!!

Also, the Cave of Ordeals on Hero Mode + Ganondorf Amiibo... brutal.

I know how you feel. I had a meltdown on the double Darknut where I just completely forgot how to fight them.

Exact same thing happened to me. And when you put 2 enemies that you don't know how to fight together... well, you're going to die.

Interestingly enough I really liked the music of City in the Sky. I dunno why but it fits the dungeon really well IMO. I'm heading there next too, so I'm looking forward to seeing how quickly I can get through this place.

Also, have fun with the 4 Darknuts right at the end of the Cave of Ordeals. If two was bad enough, 4 is torture :P

Oh, I had fun alright. I had only 2 hearts left, and no potions or fairies. I was forced to use the Magic Armor. Barely made it before I ran out of rupees. That was the most clench thing that's ever happened to me in a Zelda game. It was honestly really exciting and fun. It shall be remembered as a great moment when I think back to Twilight Princess.

Oh yeah, it definitely gets really exciting at that point. I'm looking really forward to going through that after I'm done with City in the Sky.

It's pretty repetitive and bland, but I don't mind it nearly as much as the City music. It's much less harsh on my brain.

Playing Dark Souls III with a friend, it's very good fun! Surprisingly my Intel i7 920 (2008) and Nvidia Geforce 560Ti (2011) video card handle the game without issues, so long as I'm using the 314.22 display drivers. With the 314.22 display drivers I achieve an average 40FPS at 1280x720 and 25FPS at 1920x1080 resolution (I play at 1280x720). With 361.xx or newer drivers I achieve an average 17FPS at 1280x720 and 14FPS at 1920x1080 (Very awful).

I can even configure the various graphics settings to High without incurring any performance penalty.

So if you have a Geforce 500 series video card that is a Geforce 560Ti or better than the game will work fine for you (Ignore the minimum spec on the Store Page saying a Geforce 750Ti is needed, Namco tested older video cards with bugged drivers). The 314.22 drivers are fully compatible with Windows 10 as well even though it doesn't mention Windows 10 support on the download page (All Vista, Windows 7 and 8.1 drivers should work with 10)

Started playing Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. Forgot how some bosses in this game can wreck your shit if you are not careful.

Bomb and Arrows completely destroy the armored phase of the Darknuts in Twilight Princess. Just aim the arrow at their feet. Guess the issue is the chainmail phase.
