It's an issue of close-mindedness. If something is terrible to somebody, then it must be terrible to everyone. That's the way many people see it. It is close-minded because they either don't care about other peoples' opinions or they can't look further than their own. Sadly, this seems to be programmed into human nature as a whole.
Edit: @Shane: I don't think his post was primarily targeted at you, but at Lemon's.
Since when is disliking something or just having your own friggin' opinion being close-minded? There's things in everyone's life that they'll like or dislike that everyone else doesn't seem to see it the way they do, but that's just their perspective. I don't think you understand what being close-minded actually means. Lemon's not being close-minded by disliking the graphics, he's expressing his own opinion on them. And he hasn't actually attacked a single person for liking them, either. Honestly, if anything, I find it more close-minded that anyone would be so opposed to someone having their own opinion just because they didn't agree with it.
And yes, I ranted earlier that people should be more open-minded, but when I said that, I was talking about a feature that no one had tried yet. Everyone can look at and judge graphics for themselves, though.
Also, they're just graphics in a video game, to reiterate.
Anywho, considering a strict budget, I'm probably going to be picking this up over Super Mario 3D World. I really do want both, but I think a new Zelda will always take the higher spot above a new Mario, regardless of how fantastic 3D World does look. I am still worried about the whole "game over = losing rented items" situation, mostly because...imagine dying in the Tower of Hera, losing the hammer that's required since the first room... Yeah, that might really suck.
But well, I still have faith that it could turn out right.
